I wonder how Dwight would feel about playing for Sloan? Not only that, we also have to consider how other players would feel about it, as well. Would his style and "hard-nosedness" scare off some potential FA's?

Yes, it's sad that it has come to this, but it is honestly something we have to consider in this day and age. Otherwise it could lead to some serious problems down the road.

But yeah, it is pretty amazing that Jerry f****** Sloan wants to coach here.

Chris Sheridan is at it again:

Dwight Howard wants out of Orlando, and Nets or Knicks could get him

I’ve already told you in no uncertain terms that Dwight Howard wants out of Orlando, and today we take the story to it’s next logical place.

Where will Howard end up?

The first thing you need to realize is that his destination wish list has grown, because he wants a complete divorce from the Magic –more so than he did back at the trading deadline in March, when the threat of a trade (to the Lakers, Rockets, Warriors, depending on who you want to believe) forced Howard to opt-in for the final year of his contract.

I know a source close to Howard, and I am told that he harbors a lot of resentment toward the Magic for forcing his hand the way they did on deadline day.

And even if the Magic tell him he can have a say in choosing the new coach and general manager after Stan Van Gundy and Otis Smith were let go Monday, it won’t matter.

He wants out.

Also, he sent out a rather desperate tweet:

True, but Phil Jackson at age 67 is a no brainer. If it does come down to it, I would probably be happy with Sloan over Nate and Mike D. I rather side with experience, so Sloan over Brian shaw also.

LMAO. The media gets more pathetic by the day with this "sources" crap. I will not go through this **** again. When management and Dwight himself confirms that he wants to leave, then I'll react accordingly.

Lol, Sloan. Fantastic legendary coach....and exactly the opposite of what Dwight would want. Sloan is as hardnosed if not more than SVG.

I don't think that was his problem with Stan as much as the fact that Stan was so negative. I recall Ryan having a career night this year while pulling down 7 or 8 rebounds and Stan killed him after the game for not getting more rebounds that night. I don't know anyone that wants to work for that type of boss.

If Dwight didn't like Stan, he won't like Sloan. I'd also prefer to go younger. Sloan was reported to have quit due to his inability to connect with players of this generation. I just don't think that's a good fit.

Sloan would be Chuck Daly all over again. We don't need a big name, just someone who can coach.

Donnie Walsh would bring a much needed credibility that this franchise hasn't had in a long time.

If this is true, then wow. Dwight is mad because Orlando 'forced his hand into opting in with the Magic." Are you kidding me?

Dwight is not a man. He is a child. There is something seriously loose in his brain. I'm starting to think that he is mentally unstable.
