We don't even have a GM. Anyone who believes Rudolph is a fool.
Well it's all speculation, which can be commented on.....kinda like this thread?

Chris Broussard says the Sixers are looking to move Iggy.
Don't see what we could really offer though. I think he ends up with the Lakers.

How about SaT Anderson for Scola +14
Thein either try to move up in the draft with 19+14 or trade for Monta with the picks and JJ+Filler

We have Foyle who has been working with teams and players via trade negotiations for a while now already. Thus, this could have been something that has been in discussion for almost a year now.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXV: Offseason Edition)
I dont see us as having the pieces to get JSmith, Iggy would be a pipe dream as other teams can offer more as well, maybe an outside chance for Iggy is if we send JJ/S&T Anderson/1st
That allows them to start JJ at the 2 and move Turner back to the 3 also getting them a decent 4 in anderson and our 1st

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXV: Offseason Edition)
The Nets losing out on the lottery last night is bigger than people think. I think that's a tipping point for D-Will. There's absolutely no reason for D-Will to stay in Brooklyn. They'll have maybe 3 guys on the books, no Kris Humphries, possibly no Lopez, and no Wallace. Given that those guys even come back, the Nets will never make the playoffs with that roster. I don't see any scenario where D-Will stays in Brooklyn. He may not contend, but he'll surely make the playoffs in Dallas in the short term and their management has proven that they know how to build around a great player, unlike the Nets. With that said, Dwight to Brooklyn is null as far as I can see. No way we trade Dwight there for Lopez (who we'd have to sign to a long term deal) and Brooks. And I don't see D-Will staying.
So then if Dwight was still unwilling to commit, we'd trade him to HOU or WAS where he'd go thru a losing season next year, miss the playoffs, and that team would have his bird rights. That's a lot to give up IMO. If he just stays here, he'll definitely make the playoffs, possibly contend, and the team with his bird rights would actually have a decent future. For him to essentially approve a trade to a bum team by not extending would mean he must really hate ORL and the franchise and the people running it, and I don't think that is the case. I think his heart is still in ORL and good hires in the front office and the coach will help convince Dwight to stay. I think our chances for keeping Dwight increased last night. I think his future in ORL is much brighter than it would be in Brooklyn. We just need some competence in the front office.

Thanks... very vague, not sure I understand why BS can't talk about it... it's his job to talk about it, especially if it's something hot that hasn't been reported anywhere else. Sounds like something a fan would say in hopes that no other teams try and swoop in...

Van Gundy accepted the deal, in of all places, a Sacramento Kinko's, where he faxed back his signed contract to the Magic in Orlando.

trust me, if anything he knew was accurate, he'd be the first one to write about it and push it out as breaking news. he knows nothing.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXV: Offseason Edition)
I think J-Smoove is a pipe dream. But I do think that we could have a trade that entices them and makes them better.
ATL Receives: JJ/BBD or Ryan/Turk/19th pick
ORL Receives: Josh Smith/Marvin Williams
JJ/BBD/19th alone could get Smoove, but I think to compete with other offers, we'd have to take back one of ATL's bad contracts. We could take back Marvin Williams and send them a "sort of" expiring deal in Turkoglu. It saves them money long term, they get JJ and Turk who both expire, and youth in a 19th pick. I actually think it makes them a better, more balanced team too.
Teague
JJ
Joe
Davis
Horford
It's possible we may need a third team too. I always like to look at Utah since they have a surplus of bigs.
UTH Receives: JJ/Ryan/19th pick
ATL Receives: Al Jefferson/J-Rich
ORL Receives: Smith/Williams
ATL runs
Teague
J-Rich
Joe
Horford
Jefferson
There was also another deal I proposed awhile ago, a far-fetched idea, but one I think ATL would find hard to refuse if they wanted to just start over.
ATL Receives: JJ/BBD/J-Rich/Turkoglu/19th pick
ORL Receives: Joe Johnson/Josh Smith
ATL gets out of Johnson's albatross deal, shed money with expiring deals in JJ and Turk, and get decent trade assets in J-Rich and BBD. Not a big fan of the deal, but we'd have a fun team to watch if we signed Nash
Nash
Joe
Smoove

Would you do that? Would you take on Johnson's contract to get Smoove, or would it be wiser to wait it out and sign him next summer? I've been back and forth on this.
