Where did it all go wrong?

Post#162 » by JazzItUp13 » Sun Jul 1, 2012 9:53 pm

I been trying to figure this out. But when did it all come crashing down for the magic and dwight? like what was the turning point that made him just hate it here so much and want out? I remember when Tmac wanted out and weisbrod was like " Ok? fine your gone" and shipped out Tmac immediately. I'm just trying to find out when this turned sour...could it be due to stan? otis? how do we go from a finals team to a what would seem to be bottom feeder in this upcoming season?

and do you guys think dwight quit on the team? It would appear that way.
I got a question why they hating on me....

My opinion of Jameer improved.

I recall him defending LeBron actually, something along the lines of "that man gave them 7 years of his career he deserves better than them burning his jersey"

oh it's going to be worse for mr howard...I'm sure he doesn't care. But just wait...haha

You'd have to renounce Nelson and Anderson but you'd have Williams and Howard at that point at least.

If I'm the Lakers then I sit pretty and offer nothing more than Bynum. They don't NEED to offer Gasol. They're a better team with Bynum and Gasol than with Dwight and Scola.

Well it's better than the suggestion of trading JJ + a first rounder for a second rounder.

I dont think they will offer Bynum and Gasol for D12 and also take some bad contract, but i think that D12+Scola is better than them.

Agree. They can play it cool and wait. I don't know if the Lakers will want to pay him the max either next year though, so the Magic would be bailing them out by giving them Dwight. I think they should have to give up someone else with Bynum personally. Some picks. I like that Morris kid too. But it's the Lakers, and they always think they should get more out of the deal than anyone else.

I'm predicting we end up with picks and expirings in return for Dwight for the simple reason that Bynum only has a year left on his contract and I can't see him agreeing to an extension. NJ has nothing to offer, and Lopez is also in the final year, although he may be more likely to agree to en extension (not that we want him). Houston seems like the best bet, unless Bynum agrees to an extension. Just wish we would have had this done prior to the draft.

Related, Dwight is a p.o.s. and I hope he never wins a championship.

Last season Bynum said he wouldn't mind playing for Orlando... he's said multiple times he will play anywhere (as long as he gets paid). He'd have a bigger role on the Magic, so I don't see why he wouldn't sign.

Laker fan in peace... Although I think Howard is better than Bynum, I am somewhat indifferent on the trade & more importantly, the Howard saga... Dude needs to make a decision & lead HIS team... That being said, Ebanks does have more potential than any other young player on our squad... He is 6'8" with range...For the record, Bynum will play anywhere... I believe he was in the last deal as well... Good luck this offseason...

Bynum has said that he doesn't care where he plays as long as he gets paid.

I definitely think Dwight quit on the team. The man plays 8 seasons and barely misses a game and suddenly he has back spasms that keep him from playing in the playoffs? Can't even sit on the bench? I call BS. He's a quitter, a whiner and not particularly bright. Good riddance I say.
