Burke is not a number 1 pick.

Smart is two years younger, last season Burke had very similar stats, in terms of potential we have to go with Smart

21 points/21 rebounds/6 assists/2 blocks All while having no post plays called for him, i've seen some post here talking about trading Vuc. Really? With his added strength and refined post moves next season he's going to be a beast, Yeah let's trade him now to avoid paying him later.

god i hate posts like this. they don't come out after he lays a steamer on the court and plays soft against decent competition. let's not forget that his performances aren't carrying us to W's just yet.

nobody on this team is beyond trading. the only guys who are untouchable are legit franchise guys - LeBron/Durant/Kobe/etc.

if you want to raise the point of "is it premature to trade him now", then i'd certainly agree. you gotta give him an offseason's worth of development and see how he comes back next year. but if he's the same guy at the end of next season, and someone offers us a top 5 pick for him, then i'll pack his bags for him myself.

well i'm sorry you hate posts praising a player that deserves to be praised. He's been our most consistent player all season and honestly probably our most healthy starter putting in work day in day out and against good competition he's one of the few guys that shows up.

Right after coming back from a concussion he has one steamer game and then it's back to what 15/14 one game and 21/21 the next? ok yeah pack his bags now...imo even if he doesn't get better and stays as is he's still doing something that not many other Bigs are right now... Absolutely no one thought that he would be putting up these numbers and some people here(not necessarily you) are taking it for granted understandably considering who used to be here at Center.

Just my opinion but i think it's unlikely anyone offers an unprotected top 5 in 2014 for Vuc so we're more or less stuck with him. Me i'm just grateful we got him that's all, not ready to give him up for an unknown

he's had enough bad games this year for people to acknowledge that he has weaknesses. his highlight games don't suddenly discount those.

i think anyone suggesting we just give Vuc up is stupid. but if a deal comes along for a bonafide star, or a player with very high potential to be a star, then we should certainly consider it. but, if he comes back next year with added strength and his defense is better, then he's certainly putting himself in a position to be considered untouchable (or available, but only for another star) - but that's a case of wait and see. i'm highly appreciative of Vuc, and hope he stays here and continues to develop into a beast.

as for deals, well, a lot can change between now and next draft.

why are you guys even getting into these long winded debates, before we even know where we are picking? much less the combine, pre draft workouts, etc.

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Because the season is over to us since we traded D12.

Or was that just a random occurrence over those games? The ability to make good passes implies to me his Bball IQ may not be as bad as suggested.

You are correct. Noel is known for being a good passer. Very underrated part of his game.

Here's a nice clip of Noel contributing almost everyway possible for a big.. 15 points 11 rebs 7 blocks 6 assists 4 steals

My god its like watching bambi on ice... I think ill be constantly scared of him snapping in half if we draft him

Based on current needs. I think we need another PG/SG and this draft so far is the best/cheapest option. C depth would be nice, but it doesn't appear like Noel NBA ready.

Bambi on ice. LOL I couldn't have said it better myself.

Yeah Noel definitely needs to learn how to land, Actually i remember Dwight saying the same thing about Derrick Rose. iirc Dwight was saying that Derrick needed to learn how to land on two feet or something to that effect, interestingly enough they both have/had Acl injuries. Speaking of Rose it seems like the mental recovery aspect is getting to him, Noel will have to overcome the mental aspect as well. On another note any news on Noel Declaring yet?

Watching that video reinforces my view that Noel will get crushed versus NBA bigs due to the way he flails his legs and arms while getting knocked down so easily. He reminds me of Beidrins during his first 2 years in the NBA.

If we deal AA or BBD for another pick would you guys be for taking McLemore and then the best PG left with whatever pick we got? McLemore at 1 or 2 and then burke at 9-10?

I'm not sure what value Arron Afflalo has at this point. He makes 7.75 next year, plays mediocre defense and is a 30% 3PT shooter. When Moe Harkless is shooting better than you from 3, maybe you should shoot 4 of them per game...

I am all for this. But, I think Burke may rise in the draft to around 5-7 pick.

I think you have to nail this pick if you're Hennigan. Not sure who it will be or if the pick will be moved for someone already in the NBA.

Is Noel a legit NBA big? Who will he turn out like? Is he more like Anthony Davis or Javale McGee or Larry Sanders (probably the closest comparison I can think of)?

Should be an interesting build up to the draft.

Yep. I'd be down with taking McLemore/Noel at 1 or 2 and picking up Burke/Gobert/Adams/Dieng/McGary/MCW/ with another first rounder. Brandon Paul, Jamaal Franklin, and Russ Smith are guys I'd like to target in the Second round. Not sure where Zo Brown will go, but I'd take a look at him as well.

In all honestly, I think that is our best option with handling this draft. If Henny can pull that off, it would be amazing.
