Not one mention of Kevin Ollie? I like the idea of Malone/Karl/ maybe skiles (still not sure) not a fan of Jackson, IMO he gets way to much credit for the emergence of steph and Klay.

CBS Sports saying Alvin Gentry and Nate targets over the summer possibly. I could be down with Gentry or Nate. Not sure about this PC, I guess its necessary, we should just expect a Q&A I guess. Unless something bigger is coming. Will Henny remain? He can't be on the chopping block, but that CBS sports article questions ever so slightly that he'll be GM this summer.

It seems to me that firing Unseld and Gunning and the scout, too, means they are close on a permanent replacement but it's not quite finalized yet. I don't see them going the rest of the season with Borrego by himself on the bench (with a couple of player development guys). He can't do all the work. Also, if they were just going with Borrego for the rest of the season, they could've done this last week.

Forgot about that... Yeah.... No....

Oh geez...Don't start blowing every negative press about the guy out of proportion.
Cocaine charge was dropped. Weed? Who in the NBA doesn't smoke it? Hell who here doesn't? Please. God some people will reach for anything.

OJ wasn't convicted of murder...

In all seriousness, my biggest concern is that Hennigan and his team aren't making this basketball decision. If that's the case, we're %#€!ed

And to top it off the Coaches available all are awful. We are a couple of players away from being alot better.

If you think George Karl is an awful coach, you know absolutely nothing about basketball.

If you think Karl is an option when he clearly isn't you know absolutely nothing about basketball sir.

Plus he played here for 5 years professionally after that arrest, and I don't recall him ever having an off-court incident in Orlando.

Right, because Hennigan's track record for hiring coaches is pretty awesome. We definitely don't want the decision being taken out of his hands.

"Aaron Gordon will cost Henny's job by Dec 2016." Predicted Dec 2014.

"O'Quinn will have a longer and more successful NBA career than Nicholson." Predicted Jun 2012. Verified on Dec 2014.

I like jacque and his approach to life more than his coaching, and I think the fact I like his personality so much is why I feel gutted right now. Gutted for him, must be soul destroying for any coach that passionate for the game to lose their job. Hope he grows as a coach and finds success in the future.

As far as new candidates, please god no mark jackson. My preference would be in order:

Karl
Thibs
Malone
Sloan
Skiles

Yeah, I would much rather have a marketing guy or a pyramid scheme billionaire hire a basketball coach... :banghead:

Maybe someone else knows where or wants to find the article from last year and post it but he wants to stay in the west. I agree Karl is a great coach and I would be happy with him Coaching the Magic. But he isn't coming here.

I seriously don't think Karl is even near the mix of candidates Henny is considering so don't get your hopes up.

And, Hell No to Alvin Gentry. Already went through dealing with Gentry as a coach for the Pistons a ways back. He is a Stop Gap temp coach and not that great. There is a reason he has coached so many teams and bounces around the league. I don't want to see his arse again. But, he is much better than Vaughn, lol.

we all know how tight lipped this fo is, so i doubt the list of hc stops with skiles malone jackson. With that said Martins seems all about business $$$ and devos have never had a rep to be hands on with bball decisions, so i think they let henny handle this.

I'm not saying that's a great option either, I'm just saying Hennigan is 0-for-1 in coach hiring. And it was a crushing defeat. Second worst win percentage in NBA history for a coach who coaches at least 200 games, and from Day 1 never seemed to know what he was doing. Of every option available in the summer of 2012, he probably chose the worst one.

And I'm pretty sure that's exactly what Hennigan was hoping for... Unfortunately, JV wasn't ready for Act 2 in Hennigan's plan.

I am sure they have consultants and other coaches advising the team on a new coach search. Not just Henny and Martins making the decisions without input. Agents are probably involved too.
