Well, gotta give it to WeHam for blowing this **** up, late but they blew it up nonetheless. I'd be more inclined to watch now, not bc of Vuc being gone but bc this may actually end up taking us somewhere, whether tahts up or down it doesnt matter (doubt we can get any worse). There was no other way.

I like the 1st rounders. Credit where credit is due, at least the front office blew it up. No criticism from me for the next 3 to 4 years

I wish Vuc well and thank him for his time in Orlando. He turned out the be the best player in the Howard trade and will continue to benefit the team with this trade. The harsh reality is keeping him didn’t make sense and selling high was the best course forward.

Losing Aminu in the trade was an added bonus.

I hear you, I wanted Green initially. I'm torn between the two now due to losing Vuc. Mobley can move his feet on defense and shoot. Green is a more aggressive Vince Carter. Either way I like both.

We gain by removing him. The cap space is more valuable than the contract he is on.

He is an expiring contract. How they can't get anything better than 2 2nd picks?

Because hes not worth more.

I don't think it's fair to say this is a crap return for Vuc. Let's be honest, this was peak value for Vuc. Holding onto him and trading him off the best season of his career is exactly what we just did. I don't think we would have gotten anything close even last year.

People can be mad at the returns all they want, but bigger picture is that we are under a full on rebuild

We all said, every single one of us, that this team as constructed when healthy was no better than a 5-6 seed.......so why bother continuing with the nonsense, tear it down, start over from scratch and build around JI, fultz, cole, chuma and hopefully cade cunningham or jalen green!

On a side note I’m excited to see what the Bulls could do with that front court + LaVine.

Bamba has to get more run time now at least. There's a chance a Bamba/Carter/JI frontcourt at times could work depending on matchups, but my guess is this was their best offer and are going to see if Bamba develops and if not Carter may be our future center.

I'm on record of saying I'd be happy to trade Vuc for an expiring contract, so I approve of this trade. I'm shocked, but I'm happy. I'm not super high on Carter, he seems like a Tony Battie type of backup big to me. But whatever, I'll take it. Good luck to Vuc, he's a good guy, but it was time to move on.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

That's what happens when you decide to trade in the last minute.

Lack of planning, that's only on our FO.

The funniest part is that we traded for WCJ. So we still aren't going to see Bamba play. That shows you how high the two people who even drafted him are on his long-term prospects.

This to me was a further indictment on him as a player.

Fair enough. We don't know what Gordon trade will bring back, and I wouldn't mind seeing Bamba, Carter Jr., and Okeke playing larger roles without the regular starters in front of them. Not expecting them to win games or anything, but it'll be nice to see what, if anything, there is to build upon while we tank for a high draft pick and go into next season with Fultz and JI returning at some point.

Terrible deal IMO. But at least now the team leadership will change which I've felt was 100% necessary for a number of years now.

More like the players on the team forced them to choose a path...AG trade request, Evan saying is not coming back, etc..

We add any of them + our injured players + Vuc/Ross and we have a Top 4 team in the East.

Yea that notion got laugh out of me.
We traded Vuc and in return we added player who was drafted after Bamba as we viewed Bamba as better prospect.
