I think this rule for the landing can be excessive with it being a flagrant, I think a technical suffices, however I wouldnt say this shot was one of those

They should allow play if it results in a change of possession but call a medical timeout if they’re still on the floor when their team regains possession. And in that event they should have to leave the court for a set duration of time.
