If we allow them to make 43% threes again there is no chance, terrible perimeter defense so far, so many open shots

They're all sucking, just AB and Goga aren't the saviors of this team people think, and WCJ are Harris and Isaac are pretty damn important.
You’re the one calling them saviours, most others just think they’re preferred starters. They did just help take 10 points off a 20 point deficit.
Isaac is important. WCJ and Harris can be helpful but I think the team is already starting to outgrow them, and Goga and Black seem to be the guys challenging them the most.
The only thing people are pointing to is having good +/-, which is sometimes like saying "I woke up this morning, and Elon Musk made millions of dollars, coincidence? I think not."
AB's defense is at least doing stuff out there even though he's a zero on offense right now. Goga is getting exploited majorly.
I just want people to judge the players fairly, not what they "think" is the best.

Poole is an idiot, but he has been hot from 3 lately, it would be good to guard him on thise shots for once

Objectively this is one of our best starting lineupsSOUL wrote:Bensational wrote:SOUL wrote:

We should minimize Fultz mins in the 2nd half, he was getting torched defensively by Poole

It's solid, and still has a worse net rating than WCJ and Fultz (replacing AB and Goga) in the same amount of minutes. Not saying I want Fultz starting, I'm just showing what is also "one of the best lineups".
Then, the "lineup we need to replace" with WCJ and Harris is 11.4 net rating, almost double of Goga/Black or Fultz/WCJ. 100 less minutes, but a decent sample size.
Again, the math needs to math with some of these opinions, not "I like them more, therefore it's better".

That last lineup is completely distorted by the Detroit game.SOUL wrote:eyriq wrote:Objectively this is one of our best starting lineups

“I just want people to judge the players fairly” doesn’t align with the way you automatically ridicule Goga and Black as valid options when they have shown they can be.
How is +/- irrelevant when it tracks the scoring fluctuations whilst a player is on the court? Cole plays 10.5 minutes shoots 2-6 generates no assists and coughs up a turnover and that tracks with the team being -11 whilst he’s on the court. I don’t see you rushing to “judge him fairly”.
I’ve been fine with Goga and Black returning to deep bench roles as we ramp up for the post season. It’s exciting that they get a chance to play some heavy minutes again. Why would your instant response be “oh no, the ‘saviours’ are back” instead of looking forward to it?

The AB/Goga lineup also had WAS/WAS/CHA/WAS/CHI/CHI (again tonight). All of these have a grain of salt.
If WCJ was playing like Goga currently, he'd have 20 posts about him.

One would think he's heavily invested in the "rookies don't impact winning" narrative.Bensational wrote:SOUL wrote:Bensational wrote:

Even though the purpose is to get Fultz going, I didn't like the fact we're posting up Fultz with paolo on the floor... Really don't like that action tonight, liked it better vs someone his size or smaller, kispert is a bigger guy

It's not ridicule, my guy. If people can't hear that their favorite rookies and 3rd stringers are not infallible to criticism, I don't know what to say then. To minimize WCJ and Harris's three point percentages and defense seems a bit silly to me, but what do I know.
My response to that is because people go "Finally, WCJ deserves to be on the bench" or "This is the right starting lineup" or "Mose is a dumbass who finally figured it out". If you're not one of those people, then that criticism isn't necessarily for you.
