Giannis must want out because he knows you need a real PG to win.

Turns out when you sell the farm for a superstar point guard as a second option and they shoot…

*checks notes*

12/45 in 5 games combined.

You will be trash. Guy had 4 points against Memphis in 33 minutes.

You thought you did something huh?

I stand with Embiid on this one.

The reporter brought Embiid’s kid and deceased brother into the mix.

He’ll get suspended for sure, and deservedly so, but the reporter is lucky he didn’t get something much worse than a shove.

When it rains it pours.

But Bucks issues are deeper. For start, Middelton went from allstar to guy who replaced playing gear with tuxedo. He only played 88 out of last 170 games. In same time, he takes $30 M of cap.

Lillard declinded. A lot.

They went all in for championship window opening of 2023-24 and 2024-25. Last year ,despite injuries they still won 49 games but lost Giannis before playoffs.

Lillard- Giannis- Kriss Middelton have i think +70% win rate when they play together. But here's a kicker- they never play together. They menaged to only log around 42 games over now 88 games.

And due fact their salary is so top heavy, you can forget about good bench or rely on role players to carry you.

But you can't really be mad about Dame trade, if they were healthy last playoffs they would have been only serious treat to Celtics on East. They won championship, they needed to spin a wheel, they spinned a wheel, players declined, injuries happened. It happens.

That said, from Giannis POV, you want to compete for title and probably bigger market. So... Lakers, Heat, Dallas, Houston, Golden State, Clippers area team that you have on shortlist of wishes.

Here's the colomn quote:
"Joel Embiid consistently points to the birth of his son, Arthur, as the major inflection point in his basketball career. He often says that he wants to be great to leave a legacy for the boy named after his little brother, who tragically died in an automobile accident when Embiid was in his first year as a 76er.

"Well, in order to be great at your job, you first have to show up for work. Embiid has been great at just the opposite. Now in his 11th season, he consistently has been in poor condition. This poor conditioning apparently seems to have delayed his debut this season."

Which led to:
Hayes later had that first paragraph removed, explaining in a tweet that he "can see why so many people were upset about it. Sorry about that." Arthur Embiid died in a car crash in Cameroon in 2014

I am sorry, I do not take Embiid's side. That paragraph is objectively true (by Embiid's own words). What Embiid did is compare the second paragraph to the first, which the author clearly did not intend, rectified, and apologized for. Violence is wrong.

I’m not saying Embiid shouldn’t be punished. He will be and should be.

But the reporter in question is what’s commonly known in the media business as a sh*t stirrer.

The reporter didn’t make an innocent mistake that he was remorseful for and corrected. He has a pattern of this type of behavior and only “changed it” in this case because the public outrage was understandably significant.

His brother was 13 years old kid that got hit by truck while walking back from school.

Why go there? Arenas, Artest, Wallace would probably shoot that report at spot.

Of course it is irrelevant to basketball, but the paragraph written is quite innocent by my eye. Let's look at it again:

Joel Embiid consistently points to the birth of his son, Arthur, as the major inflection point in his basketball career. He often says that he wants to be great to leave a legacy for the boy named after his little brother, who tragically died in an automobile accident when Embiid was in his first year as a 76er.

Frankly that seems like support and sympathy to me, frok the reporter about Embiid. And a statement that Embiid is a good dad. But what do I know?

Of course that paragraph is followed by a paragraph basically calling Embiid lazy. But they really aren't connected.

Tbh i blame 76ers from not banning that guy from lokcerroom. There are plenty of s*** starters among media members who will do just about anything for 1 second of fame, and Hayes is no different.

This isn't first time that Hayes talked BS about Embiid.

Am i missing something and he has some kinesiology college degree with expertise in conditioning?

Yea... i'll just assume not. Must be fun when you are top 5 basketball player in entire world and some fat midget calls out your shape, when he is so fat he can roll around. And has balls to mention your dead brother and your baby son.

Absolutely no reason for a basketball reporter to bring players kids or deceased siblings into the conversation. It's inexcusable and a disgusting tactic regardless of whether or not said player mentions them as a source of inspiration.

Don't condone the violence, but the media in general more often than not, gets away with saying whatever they want. Need to be held accountable.

The reporter should be lucky thats all that Embiid did. What the reporter did was shameful and yes there are consequences to saying something that low.

And for the posters saying that he's just repeating what Embiid himself said, you're being willingfully ignorant rather than reading btwn the lines.

There was no need for him to bring up his son and/or brother dying while saying he needs to show up for the 76ers, its a low ass blow

The hammer should be lowered on Embiid. Assaulting a journalist is mean work.

Assaulting anyone is mean work. To be fair, people should just do nice things. Seems like the reporter is a jerk, he should be better. Embiid has always been a bit immature, he should be better. Whoever regulates, promotes better journalism, educates journalists on not being jerks, should do better.

Zubac vs Victor was fun.
Victor won duel.
Zubac (Clippers) won a war.

Victor with near triple double with blocks (9!)
