More surprised by Mark Aguirre not being picked up. Although it's probably due to the fact that there are only 200 spots, while there are 300 eligible players. Players were bound to be left off.

Phil is great and you could argue he fits with any team since he had such great results but I perosnally think he needs a transcendent talent to really be as good as he was which the heat dont have in this BAT

I was thinking since Phil runs the triangle, that it limits Parker a bit. But I could still see it working possibly.

he's the best handler of talent period, just so happens he won with jordan and kobe but for so many skilled players and personalities he is the best and i couldnt justify him going past 3

Wow, I was hoping the Celtics Gm would make this easy on me and just take his Celtic guy so I could take my Knicks guy...of the same name  . I'll give him 5 minutes before I steal his legend lol.

This frustrates me a lot I coulda picked Phil but arguing he fits with any team is so stupid he has only won with ONE type of offense and two of best players in NBA history that are basically carbon copies of each other
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

The thing with Phil is that he has used the triangle offense his whole coaching career, which limits and marginalizes the traditional point guard position. It's not a perfect fit because Tony Parker is such a good PG it'd almost be a waste, but it is plausible that Jackson could work around that.

Major disadvantage for teams picking Head Coaches at the end of the round. Without the snake style compensation this really seems silly. Coaches should've been picked anytime throughout the draft.

No it's a good fit for ur team but it took two comments for someone to say he fits with any team which enrages me cause a big part of this thing is chemistry if the guy who picks Jordan and/or Jackson wins by default what is the point

Guys who picked at top of draft had huge advantage this was the right move

LOL, so we grade the Phil Jackson and Red Aurbach picks with the same weight?

I don't think you understand how snake style drafts balance things out.

When the top picks are so much stronger than the end of the round, there is never true balance. Something had to be changed up to provide that. You can't let the person who got the greatest player of all time to also get the greatest coach of all time. Little silly, IMO.

I picked Rick Adelman as my coach, I have an up tempo , offensive team with skilled passers, he seemed like a good choice. my rotation of bigs will play really good defense, something he's rarely had and let's be real here, if not for the game 6 abomination by the NBA officials in 2002 this man is a world champion coach
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

This is really so silly. Are you thinking that people should bypass taking on an all time great coach because of fit? Players make coaches. Coaches adjust to the strength of their players. In a draft where we draft our teams BEFORE selecting a HC, it matters very VERY little on who the HC is. If Stan Van Gundy were coaching MJ/Pippen or Kobe/Shaq would've been off the board by now too.
