After watching some Magic games, noticed that reliable 3pt shooting was lacking. Trading for WCJ, drafting Wagner and bringing his brother along make me wonder. Has Isaac future in ORL.

Make no mistake, whatever wcj says and wants he is a C. Wagner is arguably our best player playing at the moment and is a SF. We saw him play as a PF and I don't think he is ready for that yet. MoW his brother is probably a 3rd big off the bench.

Now the #1 pick as a PF has some legs but JI does have a future here IF he proves he can get back on the court.

THe roster is starting to take form. With Fultz, Carter, F-Wagner as likely starters for the long term, the new PF and Isaac compete for a roster slot, meaning Orlando will soon have a good starting five, after a SG is found.

i believe Suggs starts at SG. not sure if thats his eventual position, but think that is where he is opening night

Yeah, Suggs is our starting SG and we evaluate from there. Does he improve? Did he stagnate? Is he better off as the PG? Then we move accordingly.

This, IMO, is our biggest roster dilemma...Obviously, if Suggs can suddenly shoot from range, we're off to the races. He just strikes me more as a PG/QB guy - an on-ball leader. Marcus Smart overcame similar issues and is now a legit PG who still isn't a great shooter - I guess. Fultz is NOT anything but a PG, but I do think he will be a really good one. IF Fultz somehow gets his shot back, he's an All-Star, IMO....anyway, point is that we have two starting (potential) level PGs who need developmental time at this critical point in our build and only one ball (not even counting Cole, who's also worthy of some and will be wasted as a spot up guy off the bench)...IMO, Weltman/Mosley need to take decisive action and move someone. Suggs is not Bamba, drafted to ultimately replace a guy who surprisingly became an All-Star Center. Suggs was the consensus BPA, who fell to us due to TOR's choice of Barnes. It was the right pick but does create a problem. It's still early enough in his career to consider him a possible SG, but I feel the way others here do when I suggest sliding Franz to SG (NOOOOOooooo-that's not his position, why compromise his fit & development by playing him in the wrong spot). I'm honestly not sure of the answer but I think that it IS possible to have too much of a good thing in the NBA and we may have to move Suggs or Fultz to bring out the best in the survivor...Before you all jump me - this doesn't mean I'm "giving up on" anybody. On the contrary, get a better fit while our asset still holds very high "mystery potential upside" value.

For example...I think Anthony, if traded to the right situation, will be a great player...but it could still be a good trade for us, depending on fit of the return. Sometimes, that's how trades work...a team can be perceived as "losing" the trade, but still be much better for it via chemistry and team composition. I think Paolo will be ROY, but Jabari will make ORL a much-improved team in ways that PB wouldn't...same kind of thinking.

Hey Magic fans, do you think your management will be open to taking 5 million in salary in 2022-23 for the 44th overall pick which is usually the going rate in this range for picks.

why would we be interested, when we already have picks 32 and 35?

who are you trying to dump?

Gallinari and his 5 million dollar option.

Looks like the Bulls are trying to move Vuc. He could end up in NY with Fournier.

I love Vučević's game, but the trade is looking better every single day!

If the Bulls 2023 FRP lands in the lottery, this becomes one of the top-5 Magic trades ever.

I would say that this is already a top 5 trade for us. What 5 trades do you have ahead of it right now? (Aside from the Hardaway Webber swap)

These trade in retrospect positively changed the Magic's future:

#1 Acquiring Penny Hardaway and three future draft picks for Chris Webber

#2 Trading Dwight Howard, Chris Duhon and Earl Clark to the L.A. Lakers, while sending Jason Richardson to Philadelphia for Six Players and Five Draft Picks

#3 Trading Tracy McGrady, Juwan Howard, and Tyronn Lue to Houston for Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley

#4 Trading Penny Hardaway to the Phoenix Suns for Danny Manning, Pat Garrity, and two first round draft picks

#5 Trading Rafer Alston, Courtney Lee and Tony Battie for Vince Carter and Ryan Anderson

The trade of Vučević needs to reveal a positive consequence to crack these top-5. i.e. Orlando needs to start winning games for this (or any trade) to be seen in a positive light.

Other very good trades:

Acquiring Jameer Nelson for a 2005 first-round draft pick (become pick #20)
Acquiring Gilbert Arenas, Hedo Turkoglu and Jason Richardson for Vince Carter, Marcin Gortat, Mickael Pietrus and a 2011 first-round pick
Acquiring Tobias Harris, Doron Lamb and Beno Udrih for JJ Redick, Gustavo Ayón and Ish Smith
Acquiring Evan Fournier and Devyn Marble for Arron Afflalo

Nice seeing Moe in the new Adam Sandler movie. Moe played a prospect in Germany that one person was calling the German-MJ. His name in the movie was Haas.
