I'm getting myself a bit too excited about the idea of him. I need to accept that we're more than likely trading for Romeo Langford. Sadly.

Clear as day. Even with getting rid of Martins we still have to face the fact that Devos ownership has given so much leverage to someone who knows so little about basketball and is bound to do so again & again.
This is well known word around the league, and until we can push out Devos ownership we’re gonna be left to Martins 2.0 after he goes because they don’t have the most basic baseline interest or knowledge in basketball, this is just a team they own and throw money at when needed.

Yeah Ive been reading a lot about JM playing the 3? Is that feasible? I mean everything in him since college scream PF/C.. So in the league he is now a combo forward?

he's listed at 185...he'll be a SF at least for a while. I'd love to get him, apparently he's showing some D skills too. That was the pre-draft concern, if I recall.
Hard to tell anything on MIN boards...everyone on the roster is apparently a future HOF'er.

Spoiler:
He reminds me a ton of Isaac. Offensively and defensively. That's to say I think he projects much more as a 4, especially in the short term, than he does a 3.
Not seeing the handles, playmaking, or a consistent enough jump shot to play SF longterm right now. He's pretty raw offensively. But there is a ton to like on the defensive end and he flashes some interesting things offensively which makes me think he has the potential to be a pretty good player on that end someday.
Isaac's injury history would make trading for McDaniels pretty good insurance either way.

AH.. yeah I mistok him for the bruiser in DET.
Wonder how JM and Okeke differ?

Wasn't John Morgan going to run for governor and then said something completely crazy?

As a magic fan we need someone with name recognition to start calling out the Magic organization. So I’m glad JM has spoken up. Hopefully he can become more vocal along with more people with leverage to possibly make some kind of change. As fans we need to be supporting him every time he tweets about it.

Re: Official Speculation Thread '20-'21 VII: Magic Expected To Retain Core
I have faith in WeHam. I don't think Martins or DeVos put any basketball decisions on WeHam. In fact, we keep forgetting that they researched FO Execs in-depth, and paid higher team salaries, more than most teams out there. WeHam just found themselves in some horrible seasons to sell, a lot of bad blood from mistakes when they weren't even here yet, and with the least helpful lottery system for tanking teams to date.
I still like the extensions they've given out. The JI pick was big. Yeah, they've been starting to show themselves as a sleepy FO, but did any of y'all see this much interest in Magic players in the past trade deadlines and offseasons? WeHam has been buying/extending low, selling high. And right now, like 8 teams are calling on AG. Fournier, Vooch, and Ross are all drawing big interest too. It's like I've said 10+ times before; the landscape of the NBA was going to really favor ORL's FO at some point, and showing you're fine not picking up the phone means there's a bite to the bark inside of the ORL FO.

JM speaking 100% fact. It’s been tough as hell being a Magic fan since Dwight left.

Even a blind squirrel can find a nut. I know way too much about John Morgan to say anything positive about him, so I'll just move along.

John Morgan is a clown, however, his assessment of this organization is spot on

Try unrepentant **** who told police that if he killed a family in a DUI it was "fine" because he was "more important than the whole family".
Ill stop. I don't want to get myself banned.

Delon Wright just got traded to Sacramento for Cory Joseph and two 2nd rounders. Hopefully we'll see a slew of trades come through.

Anyone else really expecting to be disappointed tomorrow
I think all these offers we're taking about are bull and in the end we going to get something like
2 2nd rounders (that Weham will just sell off) for Evan and something like Langford, a 2024 1st rounder (lotto protected) and tristan thompson for AG, and if we get thompson, then we trade birch for some teams backup PG
