I always found Dwight friendly and affectionate. Can’t we get over him leaving and embrace again?

Detroit starting Hayes and bringing Ivey off the bench is certainly a decision.

I am just as confused.

I think most people are over it. I’d welcome him back.

We don't have an open spot for Dwight. Otherwise I would welcome him back too.

I think they are trying to win, and Ivey hasn't been very good.

That’s fine logic outside of the fact that Hayes has been one of the worst players in the entire league since he was drafted.

I think originally they had the veteran Bogdanovic slotted for that spot, but he’s injured and they just decided to stick to the “Ivey is the 6th man no matter what” plan.

I asked their board about it the other day because I was confused as well. They’re not high on Ivey and feel they’d rather have Killian’s defense next to Cade. I still find it strange. Killian is a 3rd stringer at best.

I would LOVE to grab Alex Caruso from the Bulls to play alongside Cole on the bench. Suggs in the starting lineup and AC off the bench would be soul crushing for any opposing team’s guards.

No, no, no. The idea is:

Starting: AB and Suggs
Bench: Cole and Caruso

Defense would be ELITE.

Do you think Kerr making Paolo play the 5 during FIBA has anything to do with his semi-slow start? Something seems off, and I wouldnt call that a rash observation. Im not going to run back the first 2 games, but is he getting doubled or something? Are teams dropping off him clogging the paint? I dont know.

I do know that if he didnt do what he did last year, Id be kicking myself in the arse because the way Chet is looking makes we wonder what a Franz #1 option & Chet #2 option would look like versus the #1a #1b thing we got going on.

Imagine a Suggs/Chet/Issac Defensive Scheme

I don’t Paolo and Franz will be happy splitting touches and shots in the SL and watching Cole get to be the sole shot taker from the bench for too much longer. And I think Franz getting brought in for the entire 4th quarter showed Mosley recognises Cole is struggling to balance being a scorer and a PG.

Striking the balance in distribution and getting everyone involved will be a big emphasis for Mosley to start this season, I reckon.

JI, Suggs, Caruso, and AB would be about as good as it gets on defense. The offense would require one of Franz or Paolo with them but that lineup would be interesting to watch.
