In the games he's missed, our record is 7-11. When he has played the record is 25-15.
When he has played 0-9 minutes, the record is 2-3.
When he has played 10+ minutes, the record is 23-12.
When he has played 17+ minutes, the record is 10-1.

He also leads the team by a mile in on/off rating (13.7) and net rating (11.8).

You’ve been pulling out some great stat analysis this season. I’ve really appreciated the numbers you’ve been digging up and sharing with the board.

Thanks.

I love digging through lineup data and other stats, checking whether the stats agree with my eye test impressions and sharing the results. And I like reading stuff like this posted by others, of course, for example the 2023-24 stat tracking thread you posted earlier in the season.

Isaac is officially out tonight against Brooklyn, but JI himself spoke this morning at media availability and says it's not a significant injury and he shouldn't miss much time.

In fact, he said he's hopeful to play on Thursday.

Really love Black’s game. He makes great reads and is really a connector. He makes great passes to teammates and the ball doesn’t stay long with him at all. He has a knack on getting the ball to open teammates in a blink of an eye.

And its only his first year.

Does Oladipo stay healthy in that parallel universe too? In either case, Sabonis frees us to trade Vučević sooner (for a pick that becomes Trae which we than trade for Luka). But, we would miss out on Paolo and Franz.

The Difference is that the Magic actually drafted Sabonis. One player and this team still could have been a potential contender. Magic was never ever in any realm in a position to trade Vooch for Trae or trade Luka. Maybe on NBA2k. Pure sarcastic fantasy on your part while I was commenting on one moronic NBA professional GM move.

Suggs looks like he’s on a trajectory to be a Derrick White/Jrue Holiday hybrid.

We have our own future Tatum/Brown too… and I’ve always compared WCJ to Horford…. Just need to get our own Kristaps, add another guard and let it all grow.

Magic could definitely pull off a bunch of wins in the coming weeks. Favorable schedule…would sure be nice to get Paolo & Isaac back.

Ugly but still a blowout last night. Lots of PnR tho…nice to see some sort of offensive plan. I hope they settle on more of a rotation soon…I guess I go with Suggs at PG and hope it becomes a true possibility rather than just “best available”. It’s a lot easier to find a shooter/scorer with some defense at SG this summer (vs PG- unless they want Dejounte…who they could’ve already gotten, so probably not) - if Suggs can hold it down…also keeps the door open for eventual Black spot.

Kind of fun to be watching standings and not just box score this time of year.

I haven’t checked, but, for this season, does Suggs have the highest 3pt shooting percent of any player from his draft class? That would be insane to think as possible last year.

My guess is lack of outside shooting. Otherwise, I have no idea why we aren't doing a pick n roll every single set. As we are taller then most NBA teams.

Nop. Aaron Wiggins has one of highest 3% in nba, above 50% .Matter of fact Wiggins had last month where he shot 65% for 3 on 24 attemps, now he "fell way back" on "just " 44% on 32 attemps  . On paper he is best shooter in nba.

Aside from him Herbert Jones & Ayo Donsumu ( or whatever his second name is spelled) both shoot +40% for 3, with similar stats to Suggs, playing kind a identical roles.

FWIW after shooting 34.2% from 3 as a team in their first 42 games, the Magic are shooting 38.7 in their last 18 games. The Magic are a better 3pt shooting team than they have shown this season, even though they're still not good.

Where does 38% put us among 3pt shooting teams if that was the actual average?

38.7% would be 4th best if they shot like that the whole season. They rank 7th in the last 18 games.

Our best rebounder is Paolo with 6.8 rebounds per game? Good lord.
