Sign Tyus Jones to a 2-year, 11.6M deal.

Resign Moritz Wagner to a 2 year deal for less AAV than the $11M he was going to make.

Resign Caleb Houstan to a 2 year deal for slightly more AAV than the $2.2M he was going to make.

G: Suggs, Jones, Richardson
G: Bane, Black, Howard
F: F. Wagner, Houstan/TDS (whichever order you prefer)
F: Banchero, Isaac, Penda
C: Carter, Bitadze, M. Wagner

I´m really, REALLY concerned about the bench offense here. It´s non-existent. Black, Isaac, Goga on the floor together? I hope not. Jones is a nice PG backup, but he is not a scorer. No one on that bench is. We need to have at least one good bench scorer (like Moe was). So, for example, sign Jones (BAE) AND GTJ (MLE). But then, it would be almost impossible to retain Moe, who works so well as a bench duo with Isaac. Maybe if we can dump Howard. Tricky one.

My guess is that they will stagger things with the starters so one of Paolo, Franz or Bane are on the floor at all times.

Just being an NBA addict this week, I've identified Paul Reed as a fantastic sleeper pickup on the Vet Min/BAE. He is that kind of Small 5 with great 7'2 wingspan, agile mobility, and defense. It also puts pressure on DET because it's their own UFA.

You might be right. However, Magic need Jerome much more than Schroder.
I am pretty sure that you are not Magic fan! We don’t need another short guard that can’t shoot…

Im pretty sure you are Cavs fan.

I am sorry you are wrong…. I have been a Magic fan since Shaquille O'Neal was drafted.

It seems like you don’t really know basketball and people….haha

Moreover, you show poor logic. if I am a Cav fan, I really want Jerome to stay. Why I need to say “Magic need him”????? Come on, please use your brain to think first before you say anything….

not really
I said it sarcastily as its obvious neither of us can be labeled as not a Magic fan.We all are here for a reason and I wasnt expecting QQ im a magic fan since Shaq response because its obvious we are all Magic fans here ....as it was equally ridiculous to call you a Cavs fan....I thought if fkn obvious but I guess its not for some.
Seems both of us started in same era...as most of us here.
about the logic though
so if I see Jerome as a risk as I see his one solid season as a fluke(Im not infallible Im just voicing my concern and thats just my view...on the case doesnt mean Im right and your point of view doesnt make you right either....) well then if I dont want him on my Magic so according to you an oracle who decides who is a Magic fan and who isnt.... im not a Magic fan t...hat is a logic flaw from my prespective. So me not wanting to drop mle money at Jerome who I see as a one year wonder is making me not a Magic fan?...from my perspective its opposite...your point of view I see as hurtfull for this team therefore I could see you as not a magic fan if I used your logic...

Also were in this post you find me wanting Schroder over Jerome maybe I see both as equally worthless?Yet you attack me on these basis.
Im not advocating for Schorde rbecause its obvious if they wanted him they would have get him 3 years ago 2 years ago last season ...they didnt so they dont see him as Magic material porpably in terms of his character so its a moot point talking about Schroder and I didnt.

Im glad you know the people and basketball. shhhh but tell me are they in your room with you right now?You hear their voices or what? what is mr basketball saying? XD kidding dont kill me

we have different opinions but imo it doesnt warrant you to insult other people and diminish and question their actuall level of fanship if you will....

that was not cool man
but it is what it is...

Go Magic.

I don’t think so. I think it’s more likely that Mac will be back on a two-way since he still eligible.

That would be my plan too, though i still believe its necessary to have a 12-15 ppg bench scorer to be an elite team.

Honestly if we can't get Jerome or NAW I'd prefer we run it back with Jett or Jase fighting for a rotation spot. If they suck we make a trade at the deadline.

I doubt McClung gets minutes next season, he couldn't even get any in a depleted team last season.

I rather have Gary Trent Jr and play AB at PG than sign Tyus Jones.

So probably just going to be Tyus I assume?

Not my favorite, but if it is 5-7 million don't think you can really complain. Probably means we only see Jase in case of injury or Suggs rest days which is fine IMO. AB might be in that microwave scorer role until Mo comes back.

Tyus isn’t great defensively and is small.
Hes elite at one thing and that’s moving the ball with limited turnovers. Which is exactly what Orlando needs.

Every role player is going to have drawbacks at this point.

He had the best A/To ratio last season ranking #2 in the league between Haliburton and Chris Paul.

Yeah it is not the worst idea. I like him to come in 15-20min and do this. To me Tyus kind of just like this Simons discussion we just had. He helps us but does not fit what the Magic are looking for. I am not sure they are going to go against their philosophy. I think its Dinwiddie they sign. I would be SHOCKED if they do not bring in a veteran scoring point guard. I am a HUGE AB guy but I am not delusional. We need someone like Dinwiddie.

While I agree that is likely what they will do, I just don’t think that is good enough.

This team has 3 legit 20 ppg scorers and another (suggs) who was averaging 16ppg when he got hurt last year. I don't think we NEED another mircowave type scorer off the bench. We won't run 5 man bench units together...it doesn't make sense NOT to use at least one of our big scorers with the bench unit.

This team badly needed another guard when Suggs went down. So badly that we played BETTER when CORY JOSEPH started. An upgrade at that position (backup PG/starter in case of injury) is the biggest roster need IMO.

Yeah they can easily stagger the big 4 so that at least one is on the court with the bench. Also I think AB is going to score the ball pretty well against benches. And Mo was one of the best bench scorers in the league.

They needed someone on the roster that could for sure play PG even if just in case of emergency so Tyus makes sense. Could definitely see the argument for a wing that can shoot because relying on TDS/Caleb/Penda could be risky, but I think one of them should be able to emerge as a competent bench guy.

*IF* we sign tyus jones (or insert another backup pg name here) this would be a potential 9 man rotation (when everyone is healthy)

Suggs
Bane
Franz
Paolo
Carter

BENCH
Tyus Jones
Black
(Franz/Bane/Paolo)
JI
Moe (Goga)

Depth: (guys who will play when guys miss time in the 9 man rotation)

Jase
TDS
Goga
Penda
Jett
(Houston/another young player)
