South Florida winning last night is good for UCF. Need to beat as many ranked teams as possible.

guys got lucky. on that last Memphis throw, the UCF defender tackled the player before the ball got there.

Yeah, o’well. We’ve been screwed before and they didn’t call a lot of things this week. I’ll take luck when we can get it. The D shut them out in the second half.

by all means, you cant go thru great seasons without luck. In 2009, Bama needed a blocked FG by Terrence Cody to beat a bad Tennessee team. UCF can use a game like today to build on, trailing and coming back to win in bad weather.

I have always been one to shine the light on a come back over getting down in the first place.

It will be interesting to see what the ranking do to us after such a close game but fighting back says something.

Very happy with my Knights' resolve to come back fighting after being 16 down. The atmosphere in Burger U was pretty cool during the second half. :-)

UCF's defense in the 2nd half created: punt, punt, fumble, fumble, punt, punt, clock.

Great defensive adjustments at halftime after what was probably the worst defensive half of football since the winless season in 2015.

Credit to Shannon and his guys for figuring it out.

Also how about the brass balls on Heupel?

Goes for it TWICE on 4th and 1 from UCF’s own territory in the second half and McGowan converts both times. From under center no less!

True.

Heupel showed guts especially from his own 29.

Shannon regrouped the defense in a big way and the defense executed at a high level the rest of the game.

I still don't get the infatuation with AK at tailback. Everyone else that plays at tailback is far more productive.

Great comeback, but Memphis is a better team that I have given them credit for.

How on earth did they lose to Tulane?

I know people are upset, but I’m not shocked at all we didn’t move. We won’t get credit for barely beating a AAC peer. It’s rigged, not surprised.

By “rigged” do you mean beating the #2 team in the county should not count more than struggling to survive an unranked AAC team?

Yes, these rankings of today are a result of a system. But I don’t see anyone above UCF who is clearly unworthy.

Top 4 are undefeated. Can’t argue there.

LSU, Texas and Michigan all have big wins on their record. UCF does not.

Georgia and Oklahoma are hanging on to pre-season rankings. You can argue they haven’t done much but you’re splitting hairs between them, UCF, the Gators and a few others.

I get where you are coming from, but the consistency of the polls are ridiculous. How does USF move up 3 spots beating a 1-4 Tulsa by 1, but UCF barely moves beating a respectable Memphis team. There is NO consistency in the rankings.
