he self promoted long before he went to LA. more power to him. He is trying to make enough money to buy a team. wish i had that type of opportunity and options available. he is 34 and still put up big numbers.

Y'all do know that these players have marketing team from Nike right? And WB since they're working on Space Jam? Mixtape links are probably boosting their own pages by having people who like LeBron to start watching their vids?

lol what?

Do you know him in person?
Guy is manipulative control freak that only cares about controling narrative whenver he goes, whoever he leaves behind. ( Griffin, irving, Bosh, Love all share similar stories about times with him , word hard and miserable pops up a lot ).
Him showing up with bendage on his arm to find another laughable excuse in 2018 was easly most pathetic move in sports history.

Well second most pathetic, Lance Armstrong promoting healhy life while being juiced to the bone is probably the most pathetic move in sprots history. But let's not act others don't juice.

We close and moderate off-topic bs from some and not others. This board is a waste of time minus a few that post quality content/info. I come here to see/read updates on the team not which player is a good person and opinions about someone hiding injuries. Get a life people.

When (Lebron’s Lakers) didn’t make the playoffs this year I think people re-evaluated what his presence meant to Los Angeles. He’s older now and his window is obviously closing. Father Time is undefeated.

The only positive to Lakers fans with Lebron was knowing a move like landing AD was in the cards. IMO this will set the Lakers back way more than they ever could imagine. They gave up so much for an injury prone guy to be paired up with an overpaid 34 year old that has his best days behind him. Not only that, but the Clippers are appearing to be the better run organization in town and have a more balanced team with way more likable players.

The media will always love players like Lebron because he’s their cash cow for casual fans and people that don’t watch basketball at all. He’s able to get away with doing whatever he wants because he was such an amazing player and one of the best to ever do so. That being said, I can’t wait until he’s gone and I’m glad he brought the Lakers under on his way out.

Lebron Averaged 27p 8r 8a last year.

He is still elite. the Lebron hate is emotional and irrational, we should appreciate his ability before he's out the league instead of looking forward to his retirement.

root against him if you want but as a basketball fan there should be a respect for his ability and career.

that's a pretty weak argument for trying to illustrate that Lebron is a bad person.

He is very charitable, even opened up a school in his hometown where underprivileged but exceptional students receive assistance with transportation, meals, college tuition and a quality education.

He has not been in trouble with the law.

Has been in a seemingly solid relationship with his wife and has not had a bunch of scandalous rumors.

He is a family man who has been very supportive and involved with his children's education and athletic endeavors.

Has helped his child hood friend's become successful in various business ventures.

all of your examples are highly speculative and are only a problem for jealous basketball fans.

feels weird that I have to argue this as I root against Lebron on the Basketball court as he has been playing for pretty much all the teams that rival the Magic during his career, but I feel like it was needed.

Pls post where i said that he is good or bad person? I said he is jumping every single video on social networks to hype him up.

I could not care less about his son, wife, granny or dog, as player he is control freakof media and narrative. Excuses always pile up for every L and it' never his fault, for every sucess he is only reason why they won, according to his apologetic media. Sharp, Nick Right, S. A. Smith, Colin..... You bolded a quote saying he was a good person then posted a rebuttal to that saying he is manipulative control freak, what else should I infer from that?

And the post that I quoted from you didn’t mention the word social media ?

Who said I didn’t? I literally posted he’s one of the best ever to do it pal.

I don’t hate his game. I hate the fanfare and baggage he carries. He’s the reason for the “player empowerment” phase we are now seeing. Which IMO is bad for organizations like Orlando if you actually stopped to think about it.

Also, yes he averaged those numbers and looked like he struggled to do it. His body won’t hold up forever and he’s on the downslide of his career whether you like it or not.

I just think he has a couple great years left (could be wrong) and I disagree with your viewpoint of him struggling to put up those numbers last year.

I see that you gave his game credit now that i re-read your post and you make some good points about player empowerment and Fanfare. I guess I don’t think that he is to blame for a player potentially leaving Orlando for greener pastures, hell, Shaq left us high and dry 20 plus years ago and we had the most exciting young team in the league and were already competing for titles.

Either way I respect your opinion.

He is control freak when it comes to basketball, with army of biased media members who are nothing but his fanboys and fam over him and use lies, manipulations and angles to cover for him.
That's copy past same thing that non other than Durant said about him when he called people and media around him toxic.

But let's go through some Lebron facts through years.

Heat forms superteam , Bosh is 24 ppg player , reduced to 17 ppg, Wade is MVP candidate, reduced to offball guard -18-22 ppg role. Guess who never sucerficed single stat for that team?

Lebron during same year tries to push Spolstra out , in words of non other than Pat Riley himself ,he tried to manipulate him into returning as coach again ( read his book!)

Lebron leaves Heat and "goes home" yet in letter does not mentions :
1) Wiggins - at times first overall pick
2) Bennett - at times former first overall pick
3) Waiters - former lottery pick and second offensive option on that team

During next 4 months all 3 players are traded. Well let's just say i'm smart enough to not belive in coincidence.

"Broken hand" drama

Image

Last 5 min of nba finals , everybody can see nothing is wrong with his hand.

10 min later, after not wearing bandage for last 14 days or so, he shows at EXIT INTERVIEW that lasted 8 min with bandage. Is there any way to be more passive agressive when it comes to searching for excuses ? See guys my hand is broken wink wink

Image

There is also all that cramps- gate thing when he had cramps during game one, and media runned with as excuse in series that ended up being biggest maring of victory by any nba team in history. Complete waxing of Heat , led by Lebron. But cramps were good excuse non less .

David Girffin off the record in new interview said and i qoute

“Everything we did was so inorganic and unsustainable and, frankly, not fun. I was miserable,” Griffin told Fischer. “Literally the moment we won the championship I knew I was gonna leave. There was no way I was gonna stay for any amount of money.”

Ofc since NBA is lebron's fanservice at this stage, he had to backtrack his own qoute saying he was tricked or whatever.

In mean time, " The king" tweets this ""Alright alright. Enough is enough. The throne has been played with too much and I ain't for horseplay. Ether coming soon!"" ..... so where was "King<" last year? Too busy chasing Hollywood career or ?

But let's go back to more hypocricy of Lebron through years.
Remember when Lebron was "shocked" when Irving demanded a trade.... it looks like he was so shocked that his camp was actually one that leaked that info out  .

Btw why Lakers last year collapsed ? Because same Lebron tried to trade whole team for Anthony Davis. LItearlly.

Through all that his game flat out declined .
He was terrible defender last year, especially help defender. During his games vs teams i actually watched himself, he was randomlly picking the worst player to guard and even was failing at doing that.

On offense he only shot 33% for 3, his FT% is worst ever i think, he took most shots per average since 2010 to get to that 27 points.
His win share per 48 min was second lowest in his career ( only worst in rookie year).

And here he is, being 35 years old, going into another season with this fundamentally flawed logic that he can still be THE guy on championship team. He can't. He is too old. He probably won't even go through whole season without another bad injury. Players who are in their mid 30s simply break. He has young superstar next to him ,yet he is so blinded with his own hype that he will , as usual, again try to outshine him just to chase ghost of Michael Jordan, that he will never catch.

Lebron is all time great player, easly top 10 ever, but his time is comming to the end, instad of adjusting to times and figuring his new role, he, just like Kobe, is trying to be same old self, and will , just like Kobe, fail at it miserably ( same happend with Jordan and Wizards, it was guy who simply can't come with grips of reality that world moved on ).
