Barely scraping by, but technically meets the requirement.

KCP averaged 1.6 3PM per game. Hope you're not expecting fireworks.

My hope is for coach to tell everyone to start jacking them up. It seems like the simplest way to goose the offense, aside from further development from our core 3.

Much ado about nothing. Hahaha

You already know who Mosley is going to play and who he isn't going to play.

Spoiler: the 20 and 21 year olds aren't gonna be playing ahead of the freshly signed and resigned veterans.

i dont agree AT all.

a 14 mill dollar contract screams insurance policy all over. Garry has had plenty of time to grow into something else, and he is what he is. I can easily see him riding the bench and AB taking all his minutes this year.

I don’t understand the confusion. I think AB is going to get plenty of burn this season as a backup. Jett will too, albeit likely less unless he lights up summer league and practice (which you never know, it could happen).

It just was never going to be a thing where either of these guys were gifted a rotation role after their first year. They were way, way too raw when they were drafted.

If Harris is the backup at year’s end, then something went horribly wrong…but it wouldn’t shock me if AB and Jett have to start third string and then climb that ladder this season.

My bigger concern is who is going to provide scoring in this lineup. Suggs and others are going to have to score more than last year for this to work.

But the mismanagement of assets is stunning. This team could be so much better if Weltman was actually willing to make trades instead just kicking the can down the road over and over and over again until his assets have no value.

Imagine if we offered 2 top 15 picks + pick a player for Murray.

We would have an amazing backcourt with 2 way players. But nope. Only choir boys here! Guys who will take money and shut up about it when they get no playing time. It's the best gig in world! They only have to pretend to want to play. Money will keep on flowin'!

seriously, we had the best season in 10 years. a HUNGRY AND YOUNG team on the rise (not some over the hill and overpaid squad), added one of the best free agents on the market and brought back guys on reasonable deals. We have all our draft picks and more.

not sure how anyone can look at one of the youngest teams in the nba being a #1 defense, as like some huge failure.

this season is going to be hyped and our guys are going to learn how to win more games on the road(that is what hurt us in the playoffs and reg season), and our rookies will start taking over our vets.

Not sure why only some of us see it. I think negativity plagues the internet. Cannot wait to be at the opener.

People just like to think they are smarter than GM's and Coaches. Yet, they are only RealGM's!

I like this team and think they will have a long prosperous future.

Man, the offseason really gets to people.... It's a pity party around here, when last year we didn't even know if we would be a playin team and now were a defensive juggernaught.

Those guys will play when there are injuries... and that's it IMO.

When everyone is healthy, neither one of those guys are in the rotation.

You can get what Gary provides at the vet minimum or with an unproven rookie. He's literally THAT valuable.

Here's a good question right now. Can this magic team remain competitive and win basketball games next season similar to last year's pace or maybe even better?

If the answer to that question is yes and it's done with minutes still allotted to Cole, Gary, and WCJ does their trade value increase?

For right now? Yes.

Cole is ahead of Black.

Gary is ahead of Jett.

Well, there's a few more dominoes to fall that are intriguing and then it's on to summer league. Summer league will be really good. But you know it's going to be really really good? News out of training camp and then preseason rotations.

I'd still like to hope for a trade, but now since AB's rotation minutes are almost dependent on it it's not as fun to look forward to cuz it might not, probably won't, definitely won't happen.

Awesome mix of veterans, young stars and young guys grinding to earn their spot. I see the vision. I will be at the games spending my money to show support. How could you not get behind this team? Consolidation will come in time. It will be big. It will take us the championship contending status. Relax and get excited because in less than 4 months our team will be back and they need us to make KIA an unpleasant place for teams to play.

Franz, Paolo and Suggs did.

Black started over Ingles last year.

Huh?

Either you believe AB and Jett got exponentially better in the offseason, without playing against NBA level competition, or you think Gary Harris has taken a huge step back since mere months ago playing 24mpg.

Has either one of them shown anything remotely worth trading for besides Blacks defense?

Your question confirms my statement. They would need to be traded so that they can develop. Anthony’s defense and Jett’s offense can very much be developed given playing time.

His contract screams as trade exception. Same to what Bruce Brown did.

Also, why are we so bothered about Gary? He always falls down to weird injuries anyway

Bro what are you smoking on? I am not saying we will be.

We literally are. You can pick out any players you want, and make any claims you want.

But the stats dont lie. We are the #2 defense in the nba with this same squad, no matter how much you want to single out because you wanted another player. There is no way to spin it so we arent a top 2 defense with WCJ. Stats prove it, big claims dont.
