Both would be very welcome additions to the line up.

I have been very critical of Gus' scheme and playcalling, but he dialed up a whale of a gameplan last night.

UCF ran all kinds of fun misdirection stuff and almost all of it worked. Keene is very limited in what he can do and last night was the best job Gus has done all year of scheming around his QB.

Not going to make excuses for UF because Emory was trash (and thankfully is transferring out) and we had Mullen's number 6 coach leading this team into oblivion and ignoring our top tier RBs all game, but UCF played a heck of a game and made the most out of all of UF's botches. It has been hard to be both a Magic and Gator fan this year, but UF always comes back when the chips are down and we already have signed 2 5 stars this recruiting season (That is how many 5 stars Mullen signed THE WHOLE TIME HE WAS HERE) so there is a bright future ahead. Can't wait to see UF play starters against UCF in a real game in the near future! Love you Knights fans a ton, happy for you.

UCF does seem like some really dumb things throughout the game. Mikey Keene had a good game and showed he has the potential to be the starting QB again next year. But he'll have to earn it in the preseason cause Thomas Castellenos is coming in next year to compete for the starting QB role. Traffic on I4 was really bad going to and from the game.

obviously a lot going on but this season was a little underwhelming, beating UF wrapped it up nicely though. Hopefully it'll help with some recruiting for the coming season, certainly can't hurt.

Florida could have easily won that game if they converted on their plays. Emory had 4 throws that should have been touchdowns so that could have been an extra 28 points if he completed those 4 passes. Plus the kicker missed 2 field goals which is another 6 points. Gators left at least 34 points on the table that they didn't get. Plus the penalities the Gators committed, they could have maybe got another scoring opportunity out of that.

If ifs and buts were candies and nuts, we'd all have a wonderful Christmas as they say.

Give it a little more time and the only thing anyone is ever going to remember is the final score.

It was a great game. Took me 3 hours to get from Orlando to the stadium, then another hour and a half to park. It was infuriating considering I pre-paid for good parking next to the stadium but literally couldn't get there quicker because traffic was so bad, people were constantly cutting in and out of lanes and going around instead of just lining up like they should, etc. So instead of 4 hours of tailgating I got 2. Once i got there it was great though, and thankfully I got out of there insanely quickly and it was a smooth drive home.

Experience was great, had great tickets about 12 rows up on the 30 yard line behind the UCF team. guy next to me at the end of the game got Flash to turn around and was asking him where the party was. :P

I'm not as down on Keene as some are. I think people have unrealistic expectations for true freshman QBs. I think he showed that he can manage a game extremely well and run the offense. The only real question I have is if he can throw it downfield more often. If he can develop that a bit more he's going to be a good QB for us.

I'd welcome Emory Jones to the team, but I wouldn't expect him to start for us. Guy just doesn't have the accuracy. UF had several TDs blown because of bad passes. To be fair, most QBs have a couple of those each game (Keene did as well), so even if we credit him 2 of those it's still a tight game.

It's fun to be on twitter and watch UF fans whine about it and dismiss it, it's fun to watch USF fans still try to argue about....something, lol. Even Miami fans are trying to get in on the action and claim their program is better (it's not). Can't wait to see what this 2023 recruiting class shapes into. Getting Kaven Call to kick it off is huge. Hope we don't lose Travis Williams (DC) too soon. He'll be gone in another year or two to a HC job somewhere I imagine. Defense improved SO MUCH from the start of the season.

Why is there no UCF basketball thread?
Was watching an NCAA Longhorns game and the media was gushing over how they thought UCF was an up and comer.

In the past we usually just renamed this thread to keep things condensed. This has been an all things UCF sports thread for years but mainly football is what is discussed.

Big win the other night vs Michigan. It’s too bad we followed it with a loss at SMU.
