Jabari has a higher 3 point field goal percentage than Devin Booker had in college while shooting almost 1 more per game. While being the number on option and being a legit defender and oh yea being 6'10. Ill be happy for either 3 of the top guys but Jabari can be special.

I'd view it more as they see better opportunities for them in those cities. These are young guys a year removed from high school, and the Magic have been at or near the bottom of the league since they were in like 6th grade, so I don't blame them if they're looking at Houston and Detroit as better options for their chances, not even factoring in things like position needs, who they'd be playing with, etc. I really wouldn't read too much into it as if there's anything wrong with the Magic per se, just more about perceptions. if the Magic drafted them they'd come around and embrace it pretty quickly.

Still kind of a weird thing to say when a few weeks ago up to now he was saying "I'm the #1 pick in this draft".

I never really liked Paolo's attitude to be honest. If the FO is playing games and knew they were taking him they could absolutely play this off as if they weren't and still do it. I don't trust any information coming out the week of the draft.

Let him go to OKC as he prefers them

Give me Smith or Ivey.

Draft can't come soon enough so all this blabla is over.

The thing that scares me with Ivey is if you wall off the paint what is he going to give you? We have some athletic below-average shooters already.

I know some don't want to hear it but Jabari has jumped back up twice in the last hour on Fanduel. Must be heavy betting on Jabari when he dipped.

What is the ONE thing Orlando has lacked in the last six years: distance shooting. All three PFs give Orlando a much needed weapon. I love Smith's jumper though. He has the prettiest jump shot I have seen from a big. Perfect mechanics.

Our front office hasn't tipped their hand in the past, so how did it become common knowledge throughout the league that Jabari is our guy? If that's the case, then surely someone screwed up? I'm fairly certain that Holmgren is Presti's guy. It isn't based on anything that I've heard this year. Presti has done nearly everything in his power to accumulate extra picks since that rebuild began, including trading the pick last year that became Sengun to acquire two future first-round picks. His only consolidation move was to trade two picks to move up and select Pokusevski at 17th. I have difficulty believing that the guy that promised and moved up for Poku isn't completely enamored with Holmgren. Holmgren is what you were hoping to get when you picked Poku. I have difficulty believing that Presti is going to sit back and take whoever falls to him after getting so close. He has everything he needs (and then some) to get his guy. He isn't looking for pieces. He is looking for a centerpiece.

Within this context, how does it make sense to leak that Jabari is your guy if he is in fact your guy? It seems very amateurish to me. Doesn't our front office seem more astute than that? I can't say that I feel good about predicting what will happen, but the information out there doesn't add up for me unless someone got drunk and let something slip.

While Chet is my #1, I don’t think us picking Jabari validates the rumors that he was our guy all along. All the “insiders” have claimed that they think he will be our pick, presumably I think because of his perceived fit on our roster and thus saying it’d be him gives them the best chance of being right or first to the “inside scoop.” If we pick him, it’s because it was decided tomorrow evening or Thursday morning, not because random anonymous execs and national media analysts who know nothing about our squad said so.

Our front office is very tight lipped and I don't think it's coming from their end, just what I've heard from Chet, Banchero, and Jabari in the last 24. Jabari posting pictures with Mosley, Chet being more non-committal with Orlando answers but perking up a bit with OKC, Banchero apparently pushing back workouts because he doesn't think we'd pick him. Sometimes you can kind of read the tea leaves if that makes sense? I think Chet in any other scenario is the kind of guy they fawn over, but for some reason I just get the feeling Jabari is the guy. A lot of it are just "vibes" from my end but with how some chatter is shaping up.. I don't know. I'd be kinda surprised if it's not Jabari but not shocked. I think we can still explore trade down scenarios easily as well.

Anything can obviously still happen though. I'm okay with any of the top 3.
