I know he has size and should be able to handle it defensively, but I cannot stress how much I do not want him pigeonholed into a SG/SF role just to get him on the court early in his career.
He needs to play with the ball offensively to maximize his passing and ability to draw fouls. Planting him in the corner while Cole runs and 1/5 pick and roll with Goga is a complete waste.
Imo he is better suited to play SF than PG anyway.
I think he, much like Simmons, Giddey can create some offense and is gifted passer in certain situations, but imo his pick&roll will always be limited due fact that he doesn't manouver screens, can't really pop , doesn't have that exstra speed burst to attack defenders off wrong foot or create significant adventage off burst.
To me Black is more Nic Batum than some new 6'7 ultra tall PG. Guy with great court vision, good positional defense, good passing, but not guy that you will give ball and trust running offense through. Tbh i haven't seen single big full time NBA PG since Magic Johnson. Maybe Lebron, if you count him at PG
