he shot 10-14, so...either he scored on Suggs, or Suggs didn't guard him enough.
Is there a site that shows the def. assignments?
Suggs guarded Reaves for the most part.

ehh, when i was watching the first half, he was mostly on Russell

Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

I miss spinedoc

I saw some post of his in the CA board. That dude is so political already, I don't think he wants to talk anything Magic-related anymore.

If australian sensation JIngles...doesn't step it up by quarterway through the season.... I'm totally down for cycling black and howard at the SF position in the second unit.

So Isaac is on a 10-mpg minute restriction and not playing back-to-backs, even though his most recent surgery last season was “minor” and we’re years removed from the knee surgery. I thought he was healthy? (Allegedly).

i'm not at the point of really wanting too much change but are we really that good to NOT be playing two lottery picks?

We are way way too good to play lottery picks. We drafted them because we had no better use for the assets. We need to further evaluate the fit of Fultz and Harris, which is more important than developing lotto talents. We need to increase maturity with Ingles, not get younger with lotto talents. We need to squeeze in 2-3 more wins than otherwise, because team culture is about winning and competing.

I was being very sarcastic. It's not a bad view, but I hate it. Play the rooks!

One HUGE problem with our offense right now is WCJ. He's taking 1.5 less 3's per game than last year and is shooting 20% from deep instead of 36%. I HATE his early shot clock top of the key 3's but if he's not going to be a big that can stretch the floor, his value greatly diminishes. The coaching staff needs to figure this problem out.

Playing 2 rookies a lot of minutes is unserious in terms of trying to improve and not "2 less wins" - it's way less wins lol. They will get minutes once/if Ingles/others are unable to give any juice. It's easy to say just because we want them to get minutes, trust me I'd rather watch those two than Harris and Ingles, but I also understand the team, staff, and FO wanting to see actual improvement in terms of getting these guys some experience and learning how to actually win consistently.

Scoot wasn't in during crunch time, Miller is off the bench, Jarace and Hendricks aren't in the rotation like our rookies, Bilal is to the bench now. Coaches know how much rookies affect winning in terms of getting in the way of that.

It's feasible to do something like OKC with Cason Wallace and play them off the bench in short stints, definitely wouldn't mind that.

Given the absurd spacing and the opposition absolutely dismissing the threat of ORL's shooting to gang-tackle Paolo...maybe, just as an experiment, could we park Jett on the perimeter for just a few minutes and see what happens?

I don't think it affects our 2024 ring odds...but it might affect what we're capable of in 2025

Its not even about Jett. We have shooters in the rotation but Mosley plays Banchero mainly along Fultz. At least Franz plays more next to Ingles. Its looking like our coach sabotages both our forwards.
He should sub them and leave Fultz against reserves and then put them back with shooting around them.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

someone made a fair point i don't remember where....here or on the former bird app.....our best 3 shooters are on the bench and two of them doesn't even play in Jett and Houstan lol.....i was ready to disagree but....

Playing a non-shooting backcourt is no less "experimental" and risky than playing a non-dribbling PG with our versatile forwards.

We've got a lot of versatile, maybe even unconventional skill set players...maybe we should try an unconventional offensive scheme. There are problems with Paolo at C...but, there are clearly problems with our present situation. I still think Franz is the best PG currently on the roster, based on his rookie play.

You are knees deep in pile of s*** if you expect this player to space floor for you

He is career, 2 thees taken, 31,9% shooter. Expecting him to be new Towns is silly. His career high was still below league's average.
