where has it "come out"? I have only seen speculation from people on this board? 1/4 people on this board probably believe in aliens too.

Well.... the alien part isn't the best indicator lol..... should have used the tooth fairy. Cuz with the aliens... that means that 1/4 could be the ones that are 100% correct. hahaha

Jeez its being portrayed that Rob is a pushover. First by Skiles, then by Martins, and now Vogel? Is he really that weak?

I just wish our GM could do the job he was hired to do. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!

I may just turn into a casual fan to avoid heartache.

It's not his fault, that DeVos and Martins won't allow him to.

How do you think he got the job? Does anyone actually think slimeball Martins was going to let a 30 year old scout run the show by himself? Pitching a Gm by team concept is probably what got him hired.

A lot of defense for a guy who hasn't drafted a single above average player in his entire 5 years with our organization and whiffed on every single late draft pick where he could have stolen a talented player. A lot of defense for the 1 gm in the entire league who thought it would be a good idea to go big in an era of perimeter scoring guards. A lot of defense for a GM who may wind up next summer with none of the players he has drafted even on our roster. A lot of defense for a GM who burned through 4 coaches in 5 years.

But let's let him keep trading, and shuffling, and buying time. Let's let him and his useless scouts continue to scout and prep our team for the last hope we have of turning it around this decade.

I agree. I don't post very often but I have really been turned off by this organization the past few years. I grew up in Orlando and have been a fan since day one. I haven't watched a game in over a year. There is no excitement or optimism from where I sit. What's wrong with me?

Its all speculation. We have no idea whats going on behind closed doors, although Martins does seem to be move involved in player personnel than he should be.

Yeah ultimately he has failed to do everything he set out to do. Some people still want to give him a pass because they think others intervened, but that really shouldn't matter. Being a puppet GM is even more reason to fire him.

I have a feeling that as long as Martins is around, Magic will never be good.

I could get behind a deal for kcp. As long as he's a restricted free agent at the end of the year. He's gonna get paid though.

A lot of attacks on a guy who had a lot of bad luck and unfortunate situations thrown in his lap. Don't get me wrong, Hennigan deserves criticism and should probably get the axe this summer. But let's not act like he was given a golden goose and threw it away.

What is your benchmark/measuring of "above average". PER?
Both Payton (this year) and VO (last 2 years w/ Magic) have been above the "Average" of 15.00 PER

O'Quinn was a great pick, still in the league. Dedmon was a find, not drafted.

New Orelans just went big, Memphis played big (Gasol, Z bo), Chicago played big (Gasol, Noah), Indy played big (roy H., West). It's worked for teams.

Woj said it in a Facebook livestream last night when discussing the Magic.

So, yes Rob is a puppet and does what his bosses tell him to do just like any employee in any job. So let's fire him, what does that do? They just hire another puppet to later blame again for example Divac in Sacramento getting blamed for the Cousins deal, that was the owner making that deal but Divac as the GM is taking all the blame for it because that is his job, you can tell Divac didn't want to make that trade but it is what it is.

The problem here is not Rob, it's the people higher up calling the shots. Regrettably firing Rob does nothing for the organization as long as ownership stays the same.

Why are people surprised about this? We all know this was a Martins and Skiles trade that was forced into Rob to acquire two of "Skiles guys." Everybody keeps blaming Rob but he would have never done this trade if Martins just stayed the F out. Everybody knows we got a sh*t deal for Tobias. That was all orchestrated by management.

Bingo. Lowe's comment wasn't anything new.

If Rob does not have the intestinal fortitude to stand up for himself and leave that is on him.

He has now put himself in a situation where he will never get another GM job....

Weird bonus fact of the day while things are slow.....

No Orlando Magic general manger has ever gotten another GM job after leaving/stepping down/being fired from the Magic.
