I have been saying depth is our advantage against other teams, and it's really going to be tested now...

BUT...at the same time we are 3-2 while having been horrible on offense. We are shooting 31% from 3...that's not going to be the case all year. We were awful last year and shot 34.6% as a team.

This team should continue to get better as the year goes on. Hopefully the young guys get some more PT and prove their merit as some of the rotation guys are dealing with injury.

It's a possibility. The Magic finish top 6 or so in the East he should be a front runner...of course the correct answer is usually Spoelstra.

This might be something. You kind of want Suggs in there against the other teams starters so he can guard the opponents best guard.
Cole/Suggs...Cole's defensive metrics look pretty good this year, but can his defense stand up against a starting caliber opponent...i don't know, the eye test says he's gotten cooked some this year, but maybe i just hold individual defense plays against Cole because of his past struggles. Of course Cole kind of takes over offensively with the 2nd unit, and we need that too. Our guard situation is a tough puzzle given the overlap of the players skill sets.

I still want Suggs getting some lead guard reps too....guess we'll see how these injuries shake out

It's still mind-boggling that he would practice the team the day before a b2b. That leads to hamstring injuries and swollen knees.

I'm realizing that Ingles is likely starting tonight if Kelle is out. Ingles and Moritz on paper improves our SL offense.

So much for people bitching about no trades because of logjams lol. They forgot these guys have a history of getting injured.

I knew our 2nd and 3rd lineups would get a chance to play due to our history of injuries.

So I wasn't worried that Black would get buried.

Now he has a chance to shine and show everyone why he is such a high pick.

We're 4th in the east and have the 4th best point differential in the east as well.

Once again with all the flake Coach Mosley has gotten, we are ranked 2nd for Defensive Rating in the NBA right now.

I would have said Mose was highly regarded on here and in general?

Great defensive coach, there is no question about that.

I'm curious, how good is Goga? He's a big unknown, but all indicators are that he's good. At least rotation good.

He’s good. He was basically buried in Indiana behind Turner and others. Didn’t really get a lot of opportunities in Indiana. He was a smart pick up that Orlando needs to continue looking for in guys that are buried in deep benches that need minutes.

Return to Orlando Magic
