Now I believe we are seeing more value in guys who great at cutting abd attacking the openings in these spread out defenses, something that AG excelled at and why I could still see Ausar being the pick.
This only makes sense if your team is comprised of shooters already.
AG makes sense next to Jokic and 3 other + shooters.
Neither AG or Ausar make sense on Orlando's roster with limited floor spacing already. Both guards need to be + defenders AND + shooters next to two playmaking Forwards. Not one or the other.
Exactly. If we truly believe Paolo and Franz are our guys we NEEED to be able to spread he floor. Especially Paolo because I believe in his prime, he is going to be able to really get downhill and collapse defenses. We are hindering both their growth surrounding them with bricklayers. The only way I'd take Amen is if I was sold that this kid was going to be Westbrook level. Cause at that point you probably move on from Paolo to surround him with the right shooters. I don't believe that. He might end up as a solid player but we don't need to add bricklayers on this team. You could twist my arm on Ausar as at least his form looks solid and theres been some progression. I just can't understand getting a bricklayer as Markelle Fultz replacement. Anthony Black and Amen just can't be the pick. If they are truly the best players on the board the trade down. I think these prospects are pretty close.
