Our 2025 Denver pick is starting to look better. Denver could look to shake things up next season. KCP has disappointed me in the playoffs, and I no longer want him. I hope he doesn't make the first team all defense over Suggs.Skybox wrote:eyriq wrote:I'm an idiotbyeganyo wrote:

If Jokic is healthy they remain a contender in 2025, but maybe wont compete hard in the RS, so the pick lands around 22 or something like this. And these series are not over of course... i can not imagine this Nuggets team losing 4 in a row, so they should ge back to Denver with 1-3 result at worst.
It could be a year that MPJ and Murray are out again. All 4 of those starters are going to have a lot of miles on them. Murray has knee problems, and MPJ has back problems.pepe1991 wrote:byeganyo wrote:basketballRob wrote:Our 2025 Denver pick is starting to look better. If you look past 7 years, Nuggets never won less than 46 games. By default, they will always win enough to get at least in playin, as long as they have best player, and get into playoffs.
They have 4 starters locked for next year so they aren't going anywhere. You can argue that Nuggets mistake was not going hard for 1# spot . They had 1# secured up until 81th game and 1 point loss to damn Spurs. If they won first spot they would have Pelicans in first round, Dallas in second. Instad Lakers , Wovles are way harder path.

There's plenty of evidence that passing and play making is indeed our number one priority. The framework of a good offense is there. We just need to cut down on turnovers.
The Magic absolutely need to take and make more threes next year, but a huge part of their struggles this past season can simply be boiled down to Paolo and Franz leading the team in shots while not being very good at threes.
The rest of the team not named Paolo and Franz shot 36.6% from 3PT. 36.6% would jump the Magic from 24th in the league to 16th in the league in 3PT%.
The bigger issue offensively is the lack of passing and ball movement combined with the high number of turnovers.

This 100x. Everyone wants shooters or some scoring guard I just don’t see that as a good path forward. What they desperately need is a pg similar to fultz but can and is not afraid to shoot open shots off Paolo and Franz drives. In the playoffs we were basically relying on 3 young guys none of which are true point guards to run the offense. Paolo is excellent but even with him being great he is not ready to be the lead ball handler of a top 15 offense. Franz and Suggs are the same way. Now I think they hope Black can take that over but for now they will need a bridge. Tyus Jones would not be bad for that. I don’t know who is out there but you almost need experience. Can you bring in a Chris Paul for a 1 year deal? You need that someone that brings what Mike Conley does for the wolves. Just someone that can take the reins on the offense and set Paolo and Franz up. Franz is an amazing cutter but I felt we needed him on ball so much that we didn’t use that strength.
Shooters are some of the most expensive things to pay for in FA. You have drafted two shooters that are incredibly young I would want to give them a chance.

i’d put WCJ and get one of their bigs.axl_c_cool wrote:I Rasharted wrote:Problem with trading for Murray is that the Hawks know the Magic could really use him. Barrel = over. Not sure what ORL can do about that.
Put Isaac + 3 FRP including Denver, if they ask for more offer Cole Antony and walk away if they say no.
People have said WCJ, but I think he’s to valuable to the core and what we do.
They get 3 picks, cap relief, and a scoring guard to back up Trey Young

Harris, Fultz, Okeke are all allowed to walk in free agency and Ingles' option is declined.
Franz extended 5/175 and Suggs extended 4/100.
Klay signs 3/100 with the third year a team option (aka 2/65) so his money comes off the books before Paolo's kicks in.
Magic don't trade anybody else.
G: Suggs, Anthony
G: Thompson, Black
F: F. Wagner, Howard
F: Banchero, Isaac
C: Carter, M. Wagner
