According to the New Orleans police report, Allemand and her boyfriend, Ryan Anderson, a power forward for the New Orleans Pelicans, had been arguing on Aug. 12 because she suspected he was cheating on her. Anderson, 25, told police he took Allemand to a Walgreens drugstore to purchase a few items, including Nyquil cough syrup, then drove her home around 6 p.m.

“Anderson stated before Ms. Allemand got out of his vehicle, she stated she loved him,” the report says. “I don’t love you anymore,” he replied.

Less than two hours after Gia Allemand’s NBA boyfriend told her he didn’t love her anymore, “The Bachelor” contestant scrawled a suicide note on her dining room table.

Gia used a vacuum cleaner cord to end her life. It was tied to the center section of her spiral staircase and tied to the handrail on the second floor.

It appears Gia was on the phone with her mom when she hanged herself. Her mom told cops during the call the phone "had gone silent" and the mother tried in vain to communicate with her for 10 minutes.

The tragedy was discovered after Micheletti, in New York, sent Anderson a frantic text around 7:28 p.m. asking him to check on her daughter. Anderson arrived at Allemand’s apartment 20 minutes later, used his own key to enter and found her “sitting” on the second step of the staircase, according to police.

Dang! That's horrible.

But, did anyone else find it horrible that Ryno told her that he didn't love her anymore??

It's only horrible in hindsight. These sorts of things are always going on with couples. I love you, I hate ect... most of the time they don't end in suicide. He was being honest which is normally the right course of action, but clearly the young lady was not of sound mind. Very sad.

Only if he knew it would drive her to suicide, which I highly doubt...
Lots of people tell their significant others they no longer love them every day... at worst, it usually results in yelling and/or crying, not murder or suicide. If anything, it's horrible ryno has to carry this guilt around for the rest of his life... can you imagine knowing someone you dated killed themselves because you broke up with them? He doesn't deserve that just because he fell out of love.

You can cheat in one moment and be honest in another. It's not like if someone tells a lie one time that everything that person ever says is then a lie. Clearly he lost feelings for her, cheated and then finally told her he didn't have those feelings. In that moment he was (presumably) being honest.

Had the opportunity to run into Moe and Victor tonight in Millenia (really level-headed guys too). Anyway, I asked them both how they felt about the sleeved unis and if they'd be wearing them this season. Moe says that the sleeved unis would debut next season. VO said he didn't like them too much (I think he said something about the comfort or feel of them, but Moe said he liked them).

Witnessing someone dieing is hard to deal with regardless of circumstance. Ryan will have to carry that memory with him for the rest of his life whether he cheated or not. Her mother will also have to live with the fact her daughter committed suicide with her on the phone. I can't even start to imagine the pain that must be for her.

Sounds to me like she was a little on the unstable side, Ryan found someone else and pretty well broke it off saying that he didnt love her anymore and she couldnt stand having to go back to the bachelor for fame and fortune!

Is there any actual proof that Ryan was cheating though? Or is this all just speculation based around her accusations? I've been accused of cheating before, and I never have. It's entirely possible that their relationship became extremely strained, and she thought there must be another woman. They had a big fight, and Ryan told her he didn't love her anymore (whether or not he really didn't, only Ryan knows). Before long he's being asked to check on her and finds her dead, having committed suicide.

Regardless if he cheated or not, I hope he's not blaming himself for her death. That's an extremely heavy thing to lay on your conscience, and he is not at fault. I would hope he's seeking counseling. Too often people tell themselves they can handle it and it festers and causes long term emotional instability.




As for the sleeves, I hate them. I hated playing with sleeves so I can definitely understand if Oladipo thinks they're uncomfortable. To me, sleeves always felt like they were pulling down my arms or altering my movements. It's why I never practiced in sleeves, because if I did in games my shot would feel off. It was likely nothing more than myself thinking about it too much, but that's the kind of effect it had on me.

I'm assuming you are quoting me since I called HIS ACT honest. In that moment, when he told her he didn't love her, he was being honest. I don't get why this is hard to comprehend and yet here we are.

Regarding him cheating (assuming he did). He's a doucebag plain and simple. That being said, however guys are dbags to girls all the time and girls can be just as bad right back. Most of the time both parties move on. Suicide is an extreme reaction and usually denotes other issues (mental, biochemical, other abuses ect).
