Well, they've done it, they've made the Magic the worst roster in the league.

Yeah, I believe that was one of the main selling points of making the trade.

That’s a good thing. I rather have a top 4 pick than the 10th pick.

Did someone say that this opens 2 max slots for Star players?!?!?!

This is a small market team with no Star players right now going through a rebuild.

I can't stop laughing at that sentiment.

I'm happy about the haul though. This is pretty decent (IMO)

Starting center. Wendell Carter Jr who we could draft anyway

ah
what a joy

I'm not watching magic game any time soon

The funniest part is that we traded for WCJ. So we still aren't going to see Bamba play. That shows you how high the two people who even drafted him are on his long-term prospects.

This to me was a further indictment on him as a player.

Yea that notion got laugh out of me.
We traded Vuc and in return we added player who was drafted after Bamba as we viewed Bamba as better prospect.

It's still very dangerious thing to do. Teams that do complete bottom out have least sucess rate percentage vise. Based on some huge study, almost no team ever went from being the worst team in basketball to contender over next 5 years.

But time will tell.

Massive +1 for me too. I’m stoked with moves so far. Just gives us a direction and creates so many options. This is the highest value we would of got for Vooch. I couldn’t watch this current product any longer. I’m in for this, let’s go

We all said, every single one of us, that this team as constructed when healthy was no better than a 5-6 seed.......so why bother continuing with the nonsense, tear it down, start over from scratch and build around JI, fultz, cole, chuma and hopefully cade cunningham or jalen green!

I agree that rebuilding is the way to go obviously this team wasn’t going anywhere. The complaints are that management should have known this before instead of waiting until the last minute.

We add any of them + our injured players + Vuc/Ross and we have a Top 4 team in the East.

Doubt it

Vuc
JI
Cade
Fultz
Cole

with Ross and CHuma on the bench is NOT a top 4 seed. That team is not better then the bucks\76ers\nets\Heats\celtics, so at best it would be a 5th seed, but the hornets are a young team with alot of talent, they likely will be a top 5-6 seed next year, the raptors are down this year, but i trust their GM to rebuild that team quickly, the hawks are in a similar boat as the hornets

SO keeping vuc, ross and vets to met just gets us into the 6-8 range and still way behind the top 5 teams

Because our team with Vuc was going to almost make the playoffs, right?

How much were we realistically expecting to get back for him? He's a good player but you wouldn't trade the farm for him. And trading him for picks is better than trading him for another fringe allstar to take his place as perpetual tank commander.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Just think of it this way. We could have not re-signed Vuc 2 years ago and lost him for nothing, like a lot of fans wished for at the time. Instead we offered him the most money. The contract raised eyebrows around the league at the time.

Now we have two firsts, a recent high draft pick center who has plenty of value even if he hasn't realized his potential (talking about Carter this time), and all of our cap space back

AND this should hopefully help us win the race to the bottom and secure a top 5 pick, WHICH WOULD BE WAY MORE VALUABLE THAN VUC ALONE.

Otto is an expiring deal, i doubt he stays for this season (trade or buy out?) let alone coming back next year
