Again, so would I. And this is not something I've ever disagreed with when it comes to you or MagicMatic or whoever advocates tanking to put yourself in a better spot 2 months ago... but we're still talking about 4% odds which is the reality part.

It's ignoring internal growth, telling already young players that they have to sit out or fake injuries for an extended period of time, takes putting in wonky lineups and basically sends a message that "You guys still aren't good enough yet despite being over .500 since players returned, and I know we have a shot at the play-ins but trust me, it's not worth it. And by the way, some of your minutes will be cut and some of you will be replaced next year from new young guys."

"Oh, and by the way, we may not move up at all, this is just for a better chance at it!"

So trust me, I get the sentiment of asset accumulation. It's just that we're not in the position of Detroit and Houston this year and that's a good thing.

a 4 way tie for 5th would be pretty crazy, has there ever been an instance of that many teams tying for a top 5 pick in the NBA before?

MCW better be cut this summer. I appreciate what Kevon and Admiral brought but they should be gone too.

I don't know why we care about losing all of a sudden. Too little too late.

They still want to win and get in a groove for the playoffs and the Magic have a reason to lose? It’s also that Bol was by far the worst player on the court tonight

They're fine as 14th/15th men and two-way guys. But yeah if we're signing any vets and bringing in a rook or two, some people are going to have to go.

Jesus. Portlands team on the floor makes this game look like the first round of the playoffs.

I feel like it's less about losing and more about not needlessly risking our relevant players. Of course, those two things happen to fit nicely with each other.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

We're in a tie scenario, definitely not too little.

If you're talking about finishing 1-4.. then yeah, that wasn't ever happening and would be alarming with a healthy team.

I do find it interesting that Pop has a few of his regular rotation guys in. The Spurs are essentially tied with the Rockets for the 2nd worst record right now. This would not be a good win for them.

On the plus side, Miami are up 20 on 76ers which mean Nets will have something to play for tomorrow.

I can’t help but think that Pop hates his life right now with where his team is and this game.

People just want to be Houston and be at the bottom of the league every year. We have Paolo. We have Franz. We’re done tanking lol. If we get lucky with the ping pong balls so be it but losing on purpose is just stupid talk at this point.

Return to Orlando Magic
