Howard is averaging over 20/game and just dropped 30 tonight for Osceola.

Small sample size, but he appears to be quite a bit better than Houstan or Okeke in terms of shooting.

Also better than Grady Dick.

He clearly has some skills.

Hustle and defense is what earns minutes.

He clearly grew up uber rich.

Don't think that he has quite the sense of urgency that he needs.

Let's see what he makes of himself.

Steph and Klay grew up rich too. I don't think that's fair to put on Jett.

Dell Curry made 20 Mio in the league, Mychal Thompson 5 Mio. Thats rich, but not uber rich.
Juwan Howard made 150 Million. Thats generational wealth. Big Difference.

They're simply not going to play Jett a lot of minutes his first year, I don't think it's due to him not working hard. We're doing about as well as you could hope by involving Black but not giving him too much responsibility just yet.

If you want to play multiple rookies a lot of minutes, prepare to find yourself in that Pistons/Blazers/Spurs/Hornets/Wizards range. Other teams that are "surviving" with giving rookies big minutes have guys like Doncic, Curry, Butler, Bam, etc. OKC are an anomaly because of Chet who is redshirt anyway and not a true rookie.

I noticed Bufkin is averaging over 30 ppg in his two G-league games. I know most here had him over Jett.

grew up knowing a few people who's parents had probably that, maybe a little more. they all werent running around with new BMW's. again, not saying someone with $10 mil not rich, they just arent uber rich. guess maybe it depends on definition of what uber rich is. similar to what people think a superstar is in the NBA, they dont always see the same thing

Damn must be nice bc I grew up in a area(central FL) where if your parents made $30k y'all were doing ok so having a quarter million made you rich and thus 10-20 million uber rich.

Not many know but Jett’s dad was the first NBA player to sign a contract for more than $100M.

Anyway, how rich was never the point and 1 póster took it out of context.

The point is that even though Jett grew up a rich boy, we will now see how hungry he is to leave his mark on the NBA. He has skills, but skills without the driving hunger to succeed is not going to get him very much further.

In the words of the post modern philosopher Taylor Swift:

“I’m a big advocate for not hiding your enthusiasm for things,” she said last year in her New York University commencement address. “Never be ashamed of trying. Effortlessness is a myth. The people who wanted it the least were the ones I wanted to date and be friends with in high school. The people who want it the most are the people I now hire to work for my company.”
