He’s been stuck in an embarrassing situation his whole career. Has to be frustrating and he knows he has the opportunity to finally go somewhere else.

Not really. Collier was ball hogging on the previous possessions. Utah got bad shot after bad shot. Sexton is the most talented guard on that team by far.

Sexton is an intense player though, which is one of the main reasons why I like him.

Not to mention the 8 second violation that got called on said rookie during that.

The Utah Jazz are 12 points better with Collin Sexton on the floor vs him off the floor. Good enough for 9th best positive differential in the league. But he’s the bad player rofl
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

It's going to be interesting to see what we do with him. I'm not sure there is a long-term fit because he's a score-first guard that lacks the physical tools to defend and is a below average shooter and playmaker.

Cole is so good on D that opposing team are hunting him on every switches lol but if stats says he is better than AB let ignore the eye test

Lol So what youre saying that offenses don't hunt Sexton? How many Jazz games have you watched?

I posted the game thread about how we’re fighting for a chance to get home court against either NY, Milwaukee, or likely the Pacers. It got me to thinking of that scenario and a 7-game series and we just aren’t there. We need a trade. I don’t care if we are 100% healthy when the playoffs come we aren’t enough.

Because we can’t shoot in a shooting league. Let me add onto this, when you can’t do something in the league, especially during a 7-game series, the opposing team will force you to do the things you are weak at.

So you know for sure that our healthy team can't shoot well enough to win games?

Could I get the lottery number for next draw while you are at it. Thx for your generosity

Do you honestly think we can out score the Celtics or Cavs in a playoff series?

Gonna have to score against those two teams. Cavs smacked our ass last playoffs and they are better this year.

Did they? They were down 20 in a game 7 lol. They are way better this year, but we've yet to see our healthy team and still have a bunch of upgrades with picks at our disposal.

A couple of loudmouths on RealGM doesn’t change the long-held league-wide perception of Richards…he’s just a viable sub, but tanking CHA didn’t just “swindle” PHX…they’re selling off limbs, like most tankers do - that’s the only scenario where a team generally “wins” trades- with the loser’s permission. Exactly the way ORL should be preying on POR or UTA or BRK or WAS or NOLA right now.

The injury situation compounds the malpractice…no FO ever had a better excuse to add talent.

You’re right…we’ll be heavily favored  …and our awful shooting 90% of the time is a fluke.

Great offense solves great defense in a series…unless the offense is based on one or two guys that can be doubled without much fear of the rest of the team. Our focus needs to be adjusted…not anti-defense, but you better have offensive options in the playoffs. UTA with Mitchell doing everything won big in regular season but always crashed in the playoffs, that’s not CLE

Yes.

There is a mountain of evidence everywhere.

The Cavs and Celtics are better than we are we shouldn't really compare ourselves to them. Kcp was supposed to help our shooting but he's been shooting 30% from 3. That signing didn't really work out.

The Magic are dead last in 3 point percentage and bottom 10 in overall offense. We are a big, physical defensive team but the Cavs largely are better with that style.

These are all obvious issues that Magic have had.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

Cavs are way better this year than the last and would be huge favourites against us in the playoffs. Sure, we will slow their offense to some degree, but they are also a very good defensive team with excellent rim protection while we suck at 3 point shooting. I just don't see us scoring enough to beat them in a series.

Not this year, but with continued growth from Fanz, Paolo and Suggs, the future in Orlando may be brighter.
