i don't care what your religion is, just as long as you don't use it to judge and discriminate other people. Dwight's never done that as far as i've known.

he comes across like a real good guy, so i'm sure he'll do well by the kid.

two things that stand out to me though are: 1) the home court theory sounds very on track. 2) i can't wait to see if that kid turns out to be a baller!!!

Well the sentinel has been really irresponsible. They could have held back and tried to get more info. It was clear they didnt have alot of facts so they quickly threw a poorly written and highly subjective/assumptious article out there. Dwight, Royce, baby and family deserve better than that. Even if it was a fling they deserve better respect than that. Shame on Schmitz and Potvak.

There are plenty of religious people who make big mistakes in judgement, probably all of them. It's much worse when it's a person who proselytizes, you know the type I'm talking about. Dwight doesn't strike me as that type.

I can't speak for Christianity, but here's Islam's take on mistakes or doing the wrong thing. God judges us as fallable human beings (he made us this way), and on the day of judgement will take many factors into account (the good you've done in your life versus the bad, your recognition and rectification of the bad, your devotion to God). Fortunately He is wise and merciful beyond the level of any human. In Dwight's case, the rectification would be marrying the girl. If he recognizes that his sexual relations out of wedlock was wrong and that the boy should live with mom and dad, in my mind he's as squeaky clean as ever. If he continues to have the same type of relations in limbo, then it's really not a "mistake" but rather his decision that this is all OK (or that it's not OK but he doesn't care). If the latter is the case, hey, I still like him, but I wouldn't think of him as a religious person.

It will also be a surprise to many Magic fans even though the Sentinel carried a birth announcement for Braylon Joshua Robert Howard on Dec. 23. There was no mention of the father's name.

Awww ain't he a cutie. Mouth and eyebrows look like Dad, but that's Mom's little nose. And he looks big, guys. A normal sized baby would look like a toy doll on Dwight's chest. This looks like the start of the Howard basketball dynasty.

So Royce says it is a three-year relationship. It looks like Dwight might have been the reason we lost her to Miami, since dancers can't fraternize with the troops. She's a cute, spunky girl, and I hope the relationship works.

Good luck finding someone who practices religion that isn't a hypocrite. Being a Christian isn't about being perfect. It's about acknowledging that you aren't. He probably wants his privacy (as does everyone) because of people like you that don't understand the difference and that are going to bash him for any and every mistake he makes. That's okay... keep watching. I'm sure he'll make more. He is human fyi.
btw... it wasn't a Jesus sticker. It was a sticker with Dwight's face and a verse from the bible written on it.

WTF??? whats with all this blah blah blah its ok bc dwight is a good kid crap, i guess not!! When brits spears little sister made the news for being pregnant all i kept hearing(not on this forum but around me) was how bad she was and a whore, why is dwight different??? If anything he is far worst, he's suppose to be a poster child for the NBA and even more for the Christian people. I've lost all respect for him! if he would just say he was a Christian when asked then it wouldn't be so bad, but no he goes out of his way to tell the world how "devoted" he is. Anyone can talk the talk its actions that proves everything. Its people like him that help fuel the fire with non-believers. Poor child of his i hope hes not brought up in a broken home bc of his fathers stupid mistake!!! :banghead:
