I m happy with the PG depth
PG: Fultz/Suggs
We could add a 3rd string Vet behind them

So we need to focus on landing a great SG that fit our Team

Assets to do so:
2022 1RP, Bamba,Cole,Ross, Chi pick, Den Pick

SG that would fit:
D Mitchell -no way we get him
Beal - no way
Z lavine - No chance
RJ Barrett - Maybe
J Brown - Unless Boston doesn't pass the 1st round, I cant see Boston trading him
G trent - maybe

Looking at this list, we either trade for Barrett OR Brown, OR we land the SG we need with the draft

JADEN IVEY (has potential)
SHAEDON SHARPE (didn't see enough of him)
JOHNNY DAVIS (not a fan)
BENNEDICT MATHURIN (my dark horse)

i agree with most of this. I just honestly think, Isaac doesnt come back in any major capacity. I think we would be lucky to get 20 mpg from him, and will be hurt again. but agree with the rest.

I think JI will come back stronger and better than he ever was

Isaac is a lock as starting power forward next season. And Grant Hill will start at the three.

Based on what? Blind hope? homerism?
Hes been hurt every single year and is a 7fter with leg and foot problems coming off a torn MCL and ACL......He likely will NOT come back stronger, and is likely never going to finish a season even playing 75% of the games. Also he is years behind in his personal development that he likely will never be more than a guy who who plays defense then stands in the corner on offense

Sorry but id trade him right now to any team dumb enough to take his contract

Pretty sure RJ Barrett would be a "No Chance"
Hes literally the only good thing going in NY, a team even more desperate than us for a star. He a 21 year old legit 20ppg guy who has gotten better every year.
We probably have a better shot at Beal or Brown than we do barrett

Barrett is very unappealing to me. He scores because he shoots. His usage is way too high for what he is. He takes a lot of 2-point field goals and he has been woefully inefficient on them. This is why his scoring efficiency has been so poor. He is young enough that he could still be somewhat attractive as a prospect, but the development isn’t there and I’d want nothing to do with his next contract.

NY have too many Holes in their roster to pass on a Barrett for a TOP 3 2022 + Bamba + cole
would we give that much for him, I don't know

It reminds me a ton of the Wiggins debates I used to have with people on this board. I'm starting to see posters bring up RJ consistently in a similar way. I think Barrett is a slightly better player than Wiggins was early on, but I don't think it's by much.

All it takes is looking at his PER numbers to see he's really not a great scorer. He's not a high assist guy or exceptionally good rebounder either. His defense is barely average. People, like they did with Wiggins, just get so hung up on the PPG and occasional scoring explosion games that it blinds them. He's scoring 19 ppg on 16 shots and doesn't get to the line.

People turned on Wiggins when he got the big deal, and when NY or some other team backed in a corner maxes him I expect the same thing to happen.

bamba is a FA, so we cant trade him
Cole is literally the last type of PG that Thibs would give minutes to, plus they already have a very good young PG in Quickley
and trading barrett (a top 3 pick from a couple years ago) for a top 3 pick in a weaker draft is basically a wash, if not a negative for them while creating a whole at SF

NY wouldnt even consider that trade

Suggs for Barrett straight up.

I would do this deal, but the Magic probably would have to throw in Ross or filler to make it happen.

Ross is dead to me 8-)
I’ve been supportive of him for years and he just stinks this year, so no problem. He SHOULD be our star, but he’s got no ambition. Btw, I love Suggs and, imo, there’s a good chance he’ll be better than Barrett soon, but I believe in Fultz and Barrett is what we need more than Suggs.

LMAO, what is up with the RJ Barrett fan fair? This guy isn't that good. He's pretty much a taller and a little more efficient version of Cole Anthony. Most Knicks fans don't even want him on the team/want to resign him.

That should tell you something.

Jamal Murray blew his ACL last April and most likely won't be playing this season. I assume you guys are going to start a 40+ page thread about how he has set-backs and everyone is hiding stuff.

Hi! As the first team to mathematically drop out of the race for an NBA Championship, the Orlando Magic are the first team featured in this season's Post-Mortem series on the GB. Your insights would be much more valuable than those of us who don't get to watch Orlando much and the data you provide on the surveys would lead to much more accurate charts at the end of it. Here is the link:

*I'll probably include this message in your next game thread too if I can remember to. Sorry for the spamming.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

Jamal Murray 9 months after ACL tear was there dunking .

On CBSports today article dropped that Murray has 50-50 chance of returning this year. It's also noted that he is starting to do contact workouts soon.
