Undersized, but shot 40% from 3 and dished out 9.8 assists (that's a TON in college) and had an Assist/Turnover ratio of just under 4/1. From all accounts, carries himself as an on-court leader and has a strong handle and great composure with the ball. Also grabbed 1.7 steals and demonstrates high BBIQ and anticipation on both ends. Certainly would be hunted due to size, but competes and has a crafty game to help compensate for physical limitations.

Savior? No.

But I could see him as an even less expensive replacement for CoJo as 3rd PG, with no great financial or contractual obligation. He could easily be another Tyus or Tre Jones. His brother has been an amazing glue guy for IND -he's bigger than Ryan, but his BBIQ is also Andrew's defining trait. High-upside, minimal risk of exposure.

*This pick would not affect ORL's 1st priority of obtaining a proven starter at Guard.
I would think the Pacers may take him at 27.

Pacers have 23 I think and if they took him there that would be more shocking than them winning a title IMO.

You work out guys you don’t have enough data/info on. It doesn’t mean you have interest in them right this moment.
This isn’t new.

The more serious workouts don’t start happening until about 2 weeks before the draft.

Isn't that kinda... I dunno... unproductive?

Say 4 teams in the 4-8 range wants to workout player X. Yet those 4 teams are located at the farthest end of the compass in the USA... Player X only has a limited time to crisscross the country for that. Shouldn't you stretch it out if you are the agent? Constant long travel might impact performance.

According to Fischer from his latest article, Orlando is trying to trade up into the late lottery.

Any thoughts on who might be our target?

A few that come to mind:

Jeremiah Fears
Cedric Coward
Kasparas Jakucionis

Is that smoke? Did we even work out any top 10?

The Magic are obnoxiously quiet about who they bring in and usually if they publicize it that means we’re not selecting him lol.

Orlando could go in a lot directions here, if the rumors are true that they’re shopping Goga for salary relief it may mean we’re looking for a cheaper center (there’s a few within this range that make some sense).

I'll pray it's to trade up one more time into Tre Johnson. But if late lotto is the target, I think it's a big wing or a center.

Trade up late lotto doesn't get Fears IMO. Too much smoke around him to the Nets and them possibly trading up. Unless they get past 8th by adding more than just these two picks? Doesn't seem worth it.

So realistic late lotto targets, Jakucionis, Kon, Carter Bryant, Essengue? I guess they could like Queen, Sorber or Wolf and fear they don't make it to 16? Who knows, mocks aren't reality. A bench wing trade up seems questionable. Was a rumor they wanted a floor spacing big like Fleming, but a trade up for him would feel very questionable.

I really don't like a trade up given who is available. I mean if you have a guy you really like I guess there is logic in just getting them and who knows who they like, but I personally don't see anyone I would have to go up and get over taking 2-3 chances or trading for Simons plus a chance in the draft.

Jakucionis probably makes the most sense. I do like him, probably the best PnR player in the draft. Really high feel, but questionable athleticism and decision making at times. Also could be a combo guard in the NBA. I wouldn't move up for him, but I could see a rationale for it and wouldn't be mad about it.

Kasparas Jakucionis has been projected Top 10 pick. Like him a lot. Could be a big boost to our young core

He was looking top 5 before injury. It would be a fine swing IMO.

I think Fears could be good in around 3-4 years.

Yep that's why I would be very careful in doing it, that's what it'll cost to match salaries basically!

An expiring who’s nothing more than a 7-8th man. A ok starting C, G league player and 16.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.
