you almost have to seriously consider it at this point, this is the kind of draft where you may want to position yourself to have a high pick in....knowing our FO though, that probably won't happen.....we'll be like the band that's still playing while the titanic is sinking

ACL tear normally takes around 13-14 months to recover. If we use 14 as some "normal" scenario ( Okeke, Porzingis), we talk about return in March of 2022. Witch is tail end of 2021-22 season.

Esencially 1 of 2 ( +1 ) year of exstension gone.
I've heard 8 to 9 months, Okeke was out longer due to circumstances.

1 year is timeline, without any other demage.

Porzingis for example had 13 months period before even playing 5 on 5 again ( not game, practice). Returned after 14 months.

Jabari was out for 11 months and 20-ish days, pretty much one year.
Lavine 11-12 months.

I think he will be he'd out until pre-camp 2022. So his next game would be October 2022. That's a realistic target for Fultz regular-season return.

Depends on the circumstances, if we are tanking next season, he won't be back until October 2022, but if are trying to make the playoffs, etc and our FO jobs are in risk, I can see him coming back with restricted minutes at least.

Orlando management will absolutely target the 2021/22 playoffs. The team will have Isaac back and with whatever is gotten for Fournier and Ennis, that will be with Vučević, Ross, Gordon (and whoever he is traded for). There is a core that will win more than 32 games, and thus, management will aim for 40+.

They could really use Vuc, but I'd want a 1st with that return.
All 3 are FA after this year I believe.

I don't think that I am a homer when it comes to our guys value, but I would want back a lot more than that, but I don't have Graham that high.

Boston and Toronto could really use Vuc. Something around Smart or Anunoby maybe?

I think Boston could really use Birch, he'd be great setting screens for that team! Vuc's best attribute is scoring, which Bos doesn't necessarily need. Of course Vuc plays Embid pretty well which could make them want him.

I don't necessarily think we need to trade Vuc, but if we are getting value where we can find it maybe we should at least entertain it.
I think Toronto is well under the tax, and Boston has that giant TPE. So both could actually take on Vuc with out a giant albatross coming back.
Both teams also need help at C. Baynes is bad at most things, and Boston is throwing 3 mediocre players at the 4/5. Doesn't make much sense.

If we can get something back for Birch we should do it, he is a good screener, Vuc is pretty good too. I wouldn't hate Robert Williams or Grant Williams coming back for Birch.

I love Vuc, but I'd like to see him on a good team, he deserves it, especially if we get something good back that matches up better with our timeline.

If Gordon and Fournier are traded, this is the net outcome of this season. Let's see what happens.

I read that Boston is proposing their exception and two 2nd-round picks for Fournier. If a trade like that happens, then Orlando is clearly actively trying to lose.

When I worked for the Orlando Miracle I tore my ACL, MCL, PCL and both lateral and medial meniscus. Doctor said I did the worst thing possible besides shatter my knee. Was a 9-12 month recovery depending on if your an athlete or not. Since I was a performer for them it took me 9 months to recover. Fultz will be back by next year.

Oof. That'd be a steal for Boston. Can't imagine there wouldn't be better offers out there. If you guys do go into tank mode officially I think any of Vuc, AG or Fournier would be targets for Danny. They all fit into the TPE and each fits a different need for the C's.

Assuming Boston's rotation players are out of the mix, what kind of draft compensation would you guys be looking for for each of those guys?

Danny's war chest of picks has finally run dry, but they still own all of their own firsts and have plenty of 2nds. They could do the TPE plus whatever draft capital it takes to sweeten the pot. I know the preference would be to keep all of them, but assuming the FO decides to lean into the tank and ship at least 1 off, who would you be most willing to give up and for what?

Fultz's injury in no way signals dumping Vuc. He is still a near perfect complement to Fultz and Isaac in the future and I've really soured on Bamba...I would absolutely move AG and Evan for prospects or picks but there is no good reason to dump anybody into BOS TPE without getting something better than seconds from a very good team.

What about an unprotected first from Boston though? Obviously still not all that valuable given the team they have, but it's not nothin.

I assume Vuc is probably out of their price range if Boston is only offering TPE and draft assets, but thought maybe AG or Fournier could be had for an unprotected first that will admittedly likely end up in the late 20's (particularly if you guys go in for the tank).
