Magic end up with the No. 6 selection - Cunningham, Suggs, Green, Mobley and Kuminga are off the board and they can’t trade up - who do you take at 6?

Can't we trade down? That would have worked 2 years ago with Bamba/SGA.

I take Moody. Body of a SG/SF especially unsure of what happens to Bacon/Ennis and unknown if Chuma can be a fulltime SF.

He has 3pt range which is a must since our4 guards ( fultz cole rj mcw ) are more known to be slashers than 3pt threats.

Moses Moody is a better choice for me than trading down for Corey Kispert or Ziaire Williams. Maybe a very strong package the brings in a future FRP and Franz Wagner or James Bouknight, but even that would need minimal protections.

No overthinking this: just select Moody.

No idea, just throwing an idea if it is an option in that scenario.

Zaire is actually the high risk high reward kid out of all the top6 below. There was a reason he was the top guy knocking on the top5 group. Too bad his injuries, covid protocol and death in the family derailed all that hype.

That’s not happening if you fall to 6.

Another #6 pick for this FO, lol.

I'd take Barnes and get one of the SG with Chi pick (assuming they don't jump).

Zaire Williams....a GM once said sometimes you just have to go get your guy regardless of fit.....zaire is probably my favorite prospect outside the consensus top 5

That's my countryman.

His father, Nikša, had one of strongest backs -to basket game in Europe for years and had nice euroleague career.

if i'm not mistaking, during finals of U16 eurobasket, he scored last 4 baskets in finals, inlcuding highlight dunk and post-move game winner/buzzerbeater. I remember watching that live but it was in 2018.

I expect him to go around 20# slot, i expect Houston to take him with billion draft picks they got

If the Magic's pick ends up 6th I would probably have to take Scottie Barnes and then circle back and get Moses Moody with the Bulls pick.

I'd take disappointment because that's really the only thing a player in that range will bring me. It's a 3 man draft imo. It's just going to take luck to get there. Even with the 1st best odds there is a 60% chance we fall outside the top 3. The new odds are just that way.

If I'm at 6 I'd probably just shoot for upside and take Jalen Johnson. However, I'd feel much better about him being our second pick than a consolation prize.

Agreed. I think you're playing the upside game at that point and take the guy with the highest one. I'm not sure how he fits on a team with Isaac and Okeke, but he's probably the best talent on the board at that point.

I don't want anything to do with Barnes. He shot 28% from 3 and 62% from the FT line. I'm done with that type of 'potential'.

There's just not much left to get excited about after pick 4 IMHO. The Magic have two cracks at finding something in the lottery. I like the idea of taking a swing on Barnes knowing the Magic can take someone safer like Moody with the Bulls pick.

Maybe one of the Tennessee kids are the play. I'm personally not that enamored with any of them. A lot of the players mocked in the late lottery have one flaw or another.

Side note, I kind of like Bouknight. I lean to Moody over Bouknight, but it's close for me.

There are always great picks after the consensus "top 4", who usually only half of those are actual all-stars. Rarely do all the consensus top players all break out and make it. Trust me, I want us to be in the top 4, but it doesn't mean just punt the draft and think everybody will be bad if we don't get it.

We simply have to make the right pick wherever we are. Haliburton was there for teams this year. Shai/MPJ before that. Bam/Mitchell. Sabonis/Siakam/Brogdon. Booker.

Hell, Vuc's draft had Kemba/Klay/Kawhi/Vuc AND Tobias Harris 10-20 (!!) and they weren't spoken about like must draft prospects. We simply just have to get it right wherever we pick. It'll be harder, but it's doable.

This. Hope to get lotto fortune, but figure it out if you don't.

There's a near certainty that there will be at least 1 or 2 and maybe even more really good players that will be picked between 5-20. The problem is there are 13 guys who probably won't amount to a whole lot.

Key is figuring out which guys are which.

I agree. It's just tough to find that guy. I'll get blasted for it but I would take Springer at 6 and not bat an eye. I haven't seen anything out of the rest of the field that would make me hesitate.

Guys.. if we really are drafting for upside with the highest reward possible.. IMO there's only one person that fits that category. Zaire Williams. The thing is.. he is the highest risk as well if you are drafting in the 6-10 range.

6'9 shooting guard/small forwad ( remind you of a former Magic player )
High BBIQ supposedly ( smart dude, he has to be to get into Stanford )
Passing
Driving
Shooting

However, he wasn't able to show all that because of circumstances so who knows.
