it's like that with fultz anyway...nothing new, difference is that the coaching staff trusts markelle more to handle the ball as opposed to making AB hand the ball off as soon as he crosses half court
Yea…. But again Fultz can create offense attacking the bucket. AB doesn’t even do that.

I'm definitely comfortable letting Fultz move on but I'm also not comfortable handing the keys to AB yet...he just doesn't have anything yet on that end. Trade time.

I'd be working really hard towards Simons but likelier that we fall back to Tyus, Brogdon, or Rozier...who are all very available, IMO

Fultz, Harris, WCJ likeliest to go...picks hopefully added to make it a more significant move.

Have to look at ATL pretty much announcing they are open for business too...I really like Bogdonavic and AJ Griffin, Bogie could be available because he's old & expensive (maybe Capela too) and they might be looking for some financial flexibility despite his significant role. Griffin is somewhat out of the rotation since they acquired Bey. I could see ATL gear up at the TD for bigger summer retool...or maybe we pitch in towards them clearing room for Siakim?

I have been following Magic. Fultz, Wendell are all possible pieces in the trade market.

But do we need a big upgrade? Do we need to get a Star in return to complement Franz and Paolo?

To me, I hope for a big trade to boost our playoff chance and go achieving in the playoff

ORL sends Black, WCJ
DET sends Ivey, Bogdanovic

all about fit. Recent high draft picks placed in redundant positions on the teams that selected them. WCJ's versatility complements Duren and he's young enough to grow with Cade and company. ORL still maintains loads of expiring salary and picks to work with.

You'd have to be a mile high on Ivey for this to make any sense.

he did that vs OKC and looked good doing it...just saying if we're going to acknowledge his weaknesses we also have to keep it real when he does well

On occasion he does. My final stance on AB is that he does good things, I like him he just doesn’t fit and neither does Fultz. He’s not good enough to justify moving Cole who’s a much better fit. Obviously if there’s a chance to significantly improve the team and they HAVE to move Cole then of course I’m on board but he is not better than Anthony, he’s just not. He’ll obviously get better but I’m ready to start cashing in these chips to get much better players if we can. Speaking of keeping it real, Moe also had a DNP….

i'm not going to try and understand mosely with dnps....when you hear the reason he gave for AB and Moe not playing made 0 sense to me...i'm not against using chips however imo i think those older chips are a bit more valuable because they're better

He can shoot, he can defend, he can get us into our offensive sets.

He’d be like a guard version of Joe Ingles. I do get the injury concerns though.

I only do it if there's a under the table/wink-wink agreement with Jones to re-sign.

Any interest in rolling the dice on Lauri at the 5? He would be an expensive get but a Lauri/Paolo/Franz frontcourt sounds fun as hell.

They just won 10th of last 13 games, including 6th straight. He averages 25-10 on near 50% for 3 in past 9 games.

Matter of fact, they are now best team in basketball on 10 games sample ( 9-1) and have longest winning streak (active).

Near perfect fits...maybe light from our side, IMO. Excellent role players -maybe that's all we need.

Certainly makes us better and more solid...not sure how high the ceiling goes. Perhaps that's all on Paolo & Franz. (and Suggs?)

Is a frontcourt of Lauri, Paolo, Franz even remotely functional on the defensive end? I'd still listen to Franz at "guard", he also runs the show when Paolo is out.

You'd have to be a mile high on Ivey for this to make any sense.

Bogie > WCJ, Ivey > AB...I don't know what AB will become, but right now he doesn't provide what we need. Ivey was actually very good (for a rookie) when Cade was out last year. They play the same position, but Ivey plays it the way we need it...I'd call it, at minimum, a straight value swap and a likelier higher ceiling. I don't even know exactly how we'd use Bogey-but there's always room for a deadeye shooter. We'd still have plenty of chips to strengthen our big rotation.

You could say that Ivey and Black were both chosen as BPA at their spot by teams that didn't make sense, given their previous high pick.

Differences in our commonly discussed targets, IMO...

Tyus Jones...will score 15ppg EVERY night, makes zero mistakes, solid but unspectacular floor general, poor defense, small, 5.6 apg
probably lowest price to trade, but also UFA making close to $15m - may want to contend next year

Brogdon...will score 17 ppg, but will go off for 30 on occasion, aggressive shooter, 31 yo, excellent defender, past injury history, 5 apg

Simons...will score 20ppg, but will go off for 30 a couple times per month, elite high-volume 3pt shooter, best shooter and best athlete of the bunch, youngest, poor defense, 5 apg...may not even be available.

Murray...will score 17 ppg, but will go off for 30 on occasion, aggressive defender - long, gets steals (that fits us), has avg 9 apg as PG
