I wouldn't trade Vuc, he's a bargain with his contract and has shown improvement with his defense.

Plus, I would rather have a decent BBIQ player than a low BBIQ player as my starting Center.

If he can get us more assets or youth/picks then you absolutely do it. It's not like he has brought winning/a winning culture to the team. We've given him the ball for four years with crap results.

I agree he's played better this year on the defensive end. Still probably shouldn't be a starting center, though I don't think we have any real starting centers on the team.

Welp. That Lakers 1st is going to be some 2nds. Oh well, so much for a bit of good luck for this franchise.

Put it among the many things that havent worked out since Dwight was traded. The chances we thought of that pick being 2nd rounders back them was minimal. Now it looks like its pretty much a given. The only good thing is that Mia, Minny, Dallas are just a couple of games behind us. We need them to go on a winning streak. Alex please dont do something drastic and trade some of the young guys for a stupid run at the playoffs. This is a really bad team, accept it front office and build for next year.

In the new world order of $30M+ per year max contracts? Yeah, $18M is basically a mid-level deal which seems right for a quality backup seeing consistent rotation minutes.

Only a small percentage of the league was up for a new contract this past summer. The cap is going up again and more and more players will be up for new deals.

You guys need to come around to the reality of the modern NBA contract.

One thing that is not helping our team rebuild is the cap going up ever year the last several years. Before hardly any teams had capspace. Now most teams have capspace so they dont have to made trades to unload contracts while giving up assets. Now even some of the very top teams have capspace where that was unusual in the past. Its part of the reason GS was able to outright sign Durant.

Wish we could sign sanders and dump biyombo... ok maybe not due to age and his time away from the league, but i'd consider it if the deal was right. He was an actual elite defender as a starter. Wonder if he'll be able to return to form?

I know it seems as if this team has been losing forever and another rebuild seems like torture but I think it's for the best. With Philly, Minny, Denver and the other tanking teams vastly improving, the tanking ground is ours for the taking. I think this team needs to pull a Philly and get 2-3 top 3 picks and then move on. I also believe that Laker pick will be top 5 in 2019, IF CONVEYED. That will help speed up the process as well. In order for this to happen, that means trading Ibaka, Vucevic, Fournier and Biyombo(If any team would want his contract).

Trade them all. I am interested in the magics Future not individual players. The present is a dumpster fire! Burn it all out. Hire all new personnel other than forcier and Vogel, and move on.

that is the more interesting part IMO.

the fact is i do not think we are gonna rebuild,for much we need it right now,so if you are a new GM yuo can't find so much better coaches of vogel on the market.

I think that hennigan or not,we are gonna try to fix the roster again next summer trying to make playoff quicky,so vogel is gonna be the coach again.
