I agree he's played better this year on the defensive end. Still probably shouldn't be a starting center, though I don't think we have any real starting centers on the team.

In the new world order of $30M+ per year max contracts? Yeah, $18M is basically a mid-level deal which seems right for a quality backup seeing consistent rotation minutes.
Only a small percentage of the league was up for a new contract this past summer. The cap is going up again and more and more players will be up for new deals.
You guys need to come around to the reality of the modern NBA contract.
