If 2:00 pm comes tomorrow and talks still aren't going well for Boston, one rival executive believes they'll pursue Bogut or Vucevic.

Re: The Trade Thread II
Bogut will be cheaper to acquire I imagine.
Unless there is a large trade tomorrow with a 3rd team needing salary i dont see green moving. Buyout before the 1st likely instead.

No one is being traded tomorrow. 24 hours from today Vuc, Fournier, Biz, Uncle Jeff, DJ, EP, AP, Mario and company will be leading the Magic to the tank for one of the top 3 picks in the 2017 draft! Unless we get PG13 (not happening in this lifetime), nothing we do tomorrow is going to shift anything. Our rebuilding starts with the draft! Don't mess it up Hennigan and Martin.
Orlando Magic are BACK!!!

If there's no trade, why buy him out? He's only on a one year deal, so the 'buy out' would be paying his salary. There's no reason to buy him out unless we need the roster spot. Otherwise we just pay him, maybe to sit on the bench, until he's needed in case of injury.
More likely he continues to see significant time ahead of Mario, who can't seem to buy playing time.

I know Boston wants Vuc badly. They've been tied to him for a while now, but considering how many times we've stuck with Vuc so far, and how stingy Boston is in these trade discussions (like not trading for Butler because of Jae Crowder), I'd actually be really disappointed in Hennigan if we traded Vuc to Boston assuming they give us a bunch of crap in return--which is the most likely outcome of any deal with them.

This is 100% how I feel. The absolute most I can see happening is that we move Green to help someone facilitate a trade and get a late first or something.
It's more to our benefit to just have him expire for us anyhow.
This isn't exactly a bad thing either. I'd be open to seeing whether the chemistry of the team improves a bit. We all know we aren't making the playoffs this year, but we all would be happy enough to see some development I'm sure.

Its not about Jeff Green. Its about a 15 million dollar expiring deal. Thats valuable for a team looking to clear cap for the offseason. He could get us a serviceable piece or two.

I hope we do trade Vuc to Boston. So he can go to the ECF and be appreciated.

Well there is a cost for Vuc. Fantastic offensive center, solid rebounder on a cheap contract for 2.5 more seasons... we don't want no scrubs!

I would love to see DJ and Uncle Jeff traded for some picks. Even second rounders would be potentially valuable.
I'll admit that part of refreshes ESPN, RealGM and Woj's twitter to hear PG13 is coming to Orlando. I know its wishful thinking and there is zero chance of that happening. But just want something exciting to happen to this team. Its been a while since I felt that way.

Wouldnt mind trading some players for picks making the tank easier and giving us more chance in this loaded draft

Vuc is very much appreciated by pro-tankers.
