For anybody on Clubhouse, I started an “ORLANDO MAGIC FANS” Club. Search for it under clubs if you are interested. All are welcome to sign up.

If there’s other extisting clubs for Magic Fan’s I’m not aware of please share them!

We’ve gone to the Finals & went through “rebuild” and made the playoffs again in between the last time the Kings made the playoffs. There is no more poorly run organization than the Kings.

Weltman's a weird dude... didn't want to tank hard in the final weeks of the doncic/young sweepstakes in his first year, but completely blows it up on the eve of his contract year.

The way Dallas tanked so hard that last month or two. Incredible.

Do you agree with him?

I agreed with him up until the point that he said we could consolidate these picks next year and trade it for a good player. If that was the case, we wouldn't have traded Vucevic.

Fun fact.

The Magic's record over the final 28 games (the same amount they have left this year) in 2017-2018: 7-21
The Mavericks record over the final 28 games: 7-21

The Mavericks won 5 of their last 18 games.
The Magic won 5 of their last 19 games.

Their tank wasn't really any more egregious than the Magic's was.

Why I’m always bewildered at the negative opinion of tanking. We never did it right during our last rebuild, and even so it doesn’t guarentee anything. Nothing does, it does however give you a better chance at transcendent talent. Just have to put yourself in the best odds and pray for the best.

It was more so the effort they put in to it. They were benching alot of their NBA level players with “injuries” and such and playing G-Leaguers any chance they could. I’m pretty sure the Magic won a decisive game at the end of the season that flipped the odds in the Mavs favor and the rest was history.

Magic in the last 6 games of that season: 3-3 including a win against the Mavs

Mavs last 6 games of that season: 1-5

Please tell me there is someone in the draft worth hoping for. Surely we'll get lucky this time.

We have a better chance of winning a ring after these trades than we would if we kept chugging on with the Eurobros and Air Gordon teams.

Damn I saw Porter and got excited. Wrong Porter lol. Don't see much to get excited about really. Hampton highlights didn't impress me. Carter seems run of the mill. Maybe we will get lucky with one of these draft picks I don't know. Young guys get a chance now. Think we could have done better but oh well.

AG really going help Denver. He doesn't have to score and helps vs Bron, Kawhi, Luka etc. Evan will do well now that he is in more of a role player position. Hope Vuc does well with Billy D. Time to start digging into draft prospects lol
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

I get the shock, but didn't we just set ourselves up as the dominant force in one of the most coveted drafts in the last decade?

Especially as we know that weham don't f*** with 2nd rounders, so you know they'll attach it to a 1st to move up... In a draft where at least a couple top 5 picks might be traded down just because of cap /trajectory of said teams.

YUP!!!

Did everyone here forget our pick is likely to be a top5 ( Cade ) and CHI pick in this very loaded draft will probably be a highly coveted wing in the mold of moody, bouknigt, keon, springer, krispert, zaire? Those guys I think would have been top 8 in the last 2 drafts.

Serious question?? Dude, this draft is loaded. Top tier has 5 players and the 2nd tier probably has 6.

I mean this draft class was already talked about 2 years ago cuz some scouta were already impressed with them as high school players.

And here if we are luck get to pick 1 player each from the 2 top tier

Excellent trades, addition by subtraction. The Magic are worth watching again!..well, maybe starting next year.
