The Nets and Rockets are screwed if this is proven as in huge fines, loss of 1st round picks, any trade deals voided for the tampered player. Welcome back Howard. I hope you don't cry to much over your new 110+ million dollar deal. I know it will be hard to feed your family on that, but it is the best we could do.

This isin't like the joe smith tampering whatsoever, they lost all those picks because they tampered with the salary cap..which is probably a lot worse than a meeting like this. I'm not sure what will happen, but i'm guessing at least a fine of some sort

Okay to bring everyone (those folks who were not here yesterday evening and late last night) up to speed. Here's what's really going on. Short recap.

Afternoon: Ridiculous trade rumor involving LA, Houston, NOH

Evening: Trade with LA/HOU/NOH is confirmed, pieces and salaries confirmed. Lop-sided/gift-wrapped deal to the Lakers. Stern is the Hornets owner essentially. Hmm.

Later Evening: Owners (AND FANS) realized the deal LA was getting still allowed them to trade for Dwight or sign him in the summer [Dan Gilbert letter!]. Hmm. (Plans unveiled)

Night: Owners stop the trade (Yes, the owners, ask Marc Stein; Stern didn't stop it on his own volition. Dirty old man wanted CP3 in LA, and wanted to help formulate their plans to acquire Dwight later). Ethically irresponsible on the part of Stern making that move for NOH and LA.

Late Night: CP3 files lawsuit with Stern (lol bite the hand that feeds). Dwight watches this unfold. Realizes his Plan A for escape to LA (IF Orlando doesn't win a championship or he doesn't get star help, such as Ellis this season) went sour. Almost perfectly timed, Howard's people come out and confirm he wants to be traded to the Nets. (Remember this is midnight!)
Looks like Howard wasn't too happy about CP3 not going to LA. Plan went kaput, so he went to Plan B.

Today: Orlando recognizes the BS from all parties involved, Stern, LA, Houston, NOH, NJ, and Dwight. Howard reportedly had an illegal meeting with Nets' owner in Miami.

Uh Oh, hand caught in the cookie jar fellas. LOL

within 24 hours of CBA being approved, 2 of the leagues "nice guy" stars now look like villains, the commissioner has opened up a pandoras box of issues, and the ideals of competitive balance are in a worst place then before.

Can't wait for what comes next

more than likely BS but u really never know, hes a new owner, one of the richest and nobody has seen his integrity or if hes corrupt.

If this meeting did go down, against all the rules, im leaning towards corrupt

This is where houston is going to be pissed... they would have freed up cash to make a run at nene to pair with gasol.
