I wonder if we can move up 5-7 more spots in the draft... the last batch of good players I want are around that 10-15 region

If we hire Bower, I just don't think I could take it. I will go from die hard fan, haven't missed a game since T-Mac days to casual, IDGAF fan real fast.

2012 offseason plan for success -

Hire Otis Smith as HC
Hire Isiah Thomas as GM

Put draftees names in hat.. draft the first players name you draw..don't ever play him

Trade Dwight for Rashard straight up

let jameer walk
trade JJ for novak
trade j-rich for 2nd
cut BBD because he can't shoot 3's

Duhon/Ish
Novak/Liggins
Hedo/Q-Rich
Ryan Anderson/Clark
Rashard/Brian Cook

CHAMPIONSHIP, I LIKE THIS TEAM

I'm sure GMs around the league are looking at Houston with the 14 and 16 picks. If Portland could attract FAs, I'd say they'd be willing to work a deal, but unfortunately for them they've got to stick to getting prospects from the draft and trying to convince them to stay upon FA.

Hornets looks pretty promising.

Lillard or Marshall
Gordon
Ariza
Okafor
AD

And in the bench they have Jack, Vasquez, Jason Smith, Henry, Ayon... pretty good and young core.

If Nelson leaves us maybe we could trade for Jarret Jack...

I'll plant my flag.

President of Basketball Operations: Phil Jackson
General Manager: Dennis Lindsey
Head Coach: Brian Shaw

Dwight Howard extends and he and Phil pay D-Will a visit and recruit hard. If it fails, D-Will goes to Dallas. We clear a lot of bad contracts this season, and make a run at CP3 in 2013.

Edit: I wouldn't be surprised if Bower gets the GM position, but I'm rolling with Lindsey.

Where's this Phil Jackson stuff coming from? I thought that was just fan pipe dream stuff. Is there any truth to what I have seen posted?

I don't know who is getting GM but I take Martins going to New Orleans as a sign he's going to tell Bower he doesn't have the job. Since they're friends, I'm sure Alex wants to tell him in person, unlike Stan.

I heard this but how does anyone make that into Phil Jackson the GM or PBO. Don't get me wrong, I'd love it , but that is a new level of stretch.

I still think we can send J.Rich, Rights to Fran to minny for #18, and Brad Millers deal.
