The Lakers have held preliminary talks with the Magic on a trade for Dwight Howard, according to sources.

Orlando officials are now willing to explore trades of Howard and the Lakers, Nets and Rockets have been in touch.

No direct offers have been made by the Lakers, but the Magic are unwilling to entertain any trade that does not include Andrew Bynum. The Magic will rebuild and Pau Gasol wouldn't be conducive to those plans.

The Lakers were willing to trade Bynum for Howard in March, but those talks ended after Howard opted in for the 12-13 season.

Howard and his agent have expressed a preference for a trade to the Nets.

So this tells me that Gasol is most likely headed to the Rockets and Bynum is most likely headed to the Magic with Howard going to the Lakers. We would also get assets from the Rockets as well. If we end up with Lowery and Bynum, while also ridding ourselves of Howard, Hedo and JRich, that would be a huge win for us IMO.

You bring up a great point. Lowry and Bynum can be a nasty combination with the right coaching my goodness. I'm actually liking our chances better.

But Gasol won't be hear and Houston has been dying for Gasol or Howard Lakers want to move Gasol so Houston Gasol Orlando Bynum L.A. Dwight with other assets as you mentioned. Lowry DOES NOT want to play in Houston under MCHale so any trade with Houston brings in Lowry! I hope Houston is our partner.

At this point i want a trade....sorry for being honest but i'm just burned out because of Dwight man....i've grown tired of his antics.....dude is detrimental to the team at this point.....thanks for the memories Dwight.....i sincerely hope that as you get older you smarten up some.......learn to have the right people around you....learn the meaning of sacrifice.....gave us some great years.....so long
