good to hear he already has high praise

That is exciting after a lot of people here, myself included, were less than thrilled with Henny's selection as it seemed we were piling on the 4 and 5 spot.

i'm very excited to see what he can do.

frankly, i'm looking forward to cheering for him and JJ, because i like watching smart players who just seem to know what to do. i'm looking forward to cheering for BBD because he's just a great hustle guy. and i'll even cheer for Jameer and hope to see him reborn now as the official leader and star of the team.

but some of the write ups i've read on Nicholson have rated him scary-good.

Interesting
I still think a deal with Hou/LA will occur

@TSKD00 I'm reposting this for you since your post probably went unnoticed in the last thread.

TSKD000 wrote:If we traded KMart for a draft pick and after trading Howard/Hedo/Turk for KMart/Lamb/White/Parsons/Donatas and picks this is what our team salary situation would like. Too bad there are no big name FA this summer. we could easily sign Sessions. OR Trade a TPE to a team like ATL for JSmoove or to Philly for Iggy. If a team is wanting to dump salary.

PG: Jameer - $6.5 million
Duhon - $3.7 million
FA - $1 million

SG: Redick - $6 million
Lamb - $1.7 million
Liggins - $1 million

SF: Parsons - $1 million
White - $1.4 million
Harper - $1 million
QRich - $2.7 million

PF: Nicholson - $1.2 million
Ayon - $1.5 million
Clark - $1.2 million

C: BBD - $6.4 million
Donatas - $1.2 million
O'Quinn - $1 million

$38.5 million total salary.
give them qrich and duhon and ill take livingston and donatas is a pf more than a center so swap ayon and him .

Outside of Anthony Davis, Nicholson was my favorite player in the draft
Saw him play a few games last year and couldn't believe how calm and cool he was against one of the better defenses in the nation in the tourney (FSU).

he is an UPGRADE over Ryno. Can shoot the 3 ball AND create and is far superior on the defensive end of the court.

The irony - the Magic may have just landed the kind of compliment Dwight has always wanted to play with.

He and O'Quinn are the best Magic picks in many, many years.

How mad do you guys think Big Baby would be if after a few months into the season and were losing alot (assuming were tanking) if nicholson impresses so much that he gets the starting spot over baby and baby has to come off the bench? I can easily see nicholson taking the starting 4 spot from baby cause hes so smart offensively

I wasn't thrilled with the pick but i warmed up to him quickly after some research....now in summer league i love the dude....he is unguardable on the block that's why he's being doubled every time because the defense respects his game.....dare i say Nicholson makes BBD somewhat expendable? half-kidding

well for 1 if Dwights traded Most Likely BBD will be Playing Center which is the 5. only player of Youth Note would be O'quinn that is More of a true center other than Ayon(whos suited to a top Backup Sparkplug type).

No way, you can never have enough bigs, either to keep or as trade chips.

More ironic - TMac was traded in part because he didn't want to wait for Howard to develop (if he did) - instead TMac was reportedly lobbying for the Magic to trade the Dwight pick for a veteran big man. Same situation in essence - current star wants out just when we pick the guy that they should be playing with.

I think eventually Orlando will get the Houston deal. Morey is super desperate for Dwight and we know that the Lakers will never go all in considering Jim Buss' love for Drew.

Not if we trade for Bynum...
odds we trade for Bynum are less than the odds we trade with the rockets especially if they do amnesty scola.

they are worried about Bynums knees and Lack of Durability and Possibley a Lack of wanting to stay here. atleast with the rockets deal we get youth and Expiring contracts and Picks.

Lets face the facts here that the Magic Need to Scuttle the Ship we have because it isnt good enough to contend for the playoffs and we have a few bad contracts.

id take the rockets deal 10 out of ten times and twice on game day

The rockets might end up having to deal Dwight for Bynum later anyways. Morey is really making one dumb decision here but oh well. What if that back took some of that athleticism away and Dwight doesn't want to resign? Lakers may lose all interest in Dwight at that point....
