It's going to be so fun watching this team grow up together (Lamb, White, and Jones plus the mutiple first round picks we get over the next couple of years).

As a fan, successes of your particular team are so much more special and enjoyable when you've seen the team grow up together and go through all the different harships.

Unlike Miami, where all their success is simply superficial.

Seeing how we're going to have the youngest team in the NBA, it's very important to have a couple of leaders like Jameer and JJ on the team that show all these guys how to be professionals.

What would be ironic in all of this is next summer, ALL big market teams are capped out. The ONLY teams scheduled to have massive cap room would be ATLANTA, ORLANDO & DALLAS.

Can you imagine Dwight F'ing Houston like he was going to F us? My bet is Houston trades for him and also is able to resign him.

Problem for Dwight is #1 it is a small market like Orlando & they will not be in a position to put talent next to him for a long long time because of the long term contracts we trade and they have no future first round picks except every other year until like 2016.

I want this trade to happen asap, but I never want this thread to die. There are wayyyyy too many emotions tied into all these speculation threads

Speculation thread will never die... still a lot more off-season stuff to talk about... then training camp... then the beginning of next season... then next season's trade deadline... then next summer offseason (draft, FA, trades, etc)... the cycle, it will never end

I think these Speculation's threads should finish when a season finishes and then start a new brand one beginning in the 1st part.

I can't believe people are so quick to trade arguably our second best player on the team in BBD and his low $6 million salary. He tore it up at the end of last year as a leader with heart and in the playoffs. I would love to see what he could do if given the reigns to be a captain of this team with Meer.

BTW. Patterson is nothing but absolute garbage and should not even be in the NBA.

I would say those are the two most likely he would go to though. None of the big markets can really...and Dallas has been on his last (I'm sure he wants Cuban cuz he will treat him like a king). Atlanta is home, and he could play with JSmoov. Any of the smaller markets with space, he prob won't want to go to. I'm sure Houston is going to sign CLee (his BFF), then go after JSmoov the following summer in an effort to convince him to stay. That's pretty tough to say no to max money, max years, and play with two of your BFFs in a large market.

Yes and no. It's more than just "emotions". Leadership can go a long way to success of a team. I think that was a big part of the problem with our team. Plus he wasn't just a leader....he was very productive once Dwight went down (no, it wasn't JUST in the playoffs....go look up the game logs). He was one of like 3 players in the final month of the year to average basically 20-10.

Last I heard, Rockets were not offering both of last season's rookies and all three of this year's picks. Many could be in a deal, though.
