Question. Why do people so vastly prefer Iggy over Afflalo.

Obviously Iggy has been better historically, but Afflalo is younger and seems to be improving each year. Iggy is the better overall player, but Afflalo maybe developing into the better pure SG.

Im not saying Afflalo is way better or preferable to Iggy, but doesn't seem like getting Afflalo over Iggy is some terrible event.

It's not, but Iggy would fit better with the needs of the Magic. We already have a decent 2 guard in JJ and we have no depth at the SF position. Iggy is a superior play maker and if the Magic were to get Bynum, Iggy would be a much better fit. The Magic would have a nice front court in Iggy/BBD/Bynum. And Iggy's deal isn't as bad as Afflalo's, I think.

In that rumored trade why wouldn't we take back Gasol/Bynum if the Lakers only want Howard/Harrington for them?

I would be very happy with Affalo and Bynum. It does not surprise me that all that Henny's guys like him. He has a high basketball IQ, length, athleticism, and shooting. He is like the black lengthier and taller JJ with good-to-great defense.

A Cavs official tells Pro Basketball Draft that news of Orlando offering Dwight Howard in a 4-team deal with the 76ers, Lakers, and Nuggets is not surprising. "They (Magic) want to find as many potential trade scenarios as possible." Magic already know the deal that they worked on with LA and the Cavs is still there if they choose to pursue it.

And Iggy's deal isn't as bad as Afflalo's, I think.

Also, the numbers that stand out to me are assists and steals. It would be nice to have defense on the wings for a change.
