But whats gonna happen with Osby then?

Good question. I think Osby is a SF/PF tweener. This signing will affect him some, but not really.

I don't think he was ever going to see a lot of minutes this year. I think he'll spend the majority of the season in the D-League or just develop slowly from team practices and being around his elders. PT would only come if injury forced him into play.

I mean in all seriousnes this must mean someone is on the move...Right? There's no reason to bench KOQ, Drew, and not play Osby....Right?

The signs are more strongly pointing in that direction than they were yesterday. I would like to see what we could get for Davis. He does have value... even for us.

Wasn't brought in by Henny so we'll see.

I love the way that Rob does things. He get's his guy's with team options and short term deals. Otis would always...always give the player option.........what a push over he was. Duhon, Q Rich and so on all had player options....like they would ever exercise them. On top of that, he would give them 4 year deals instead of 2. I don't understand why you would give 4 year deals to backups approaching or past 30.

Small money, team option for year two, adds depth, might indicate BBD on the way out. Nothing not to like here.

Don't see the point honestly. Harris Davis Nicholson Harrington Vuc O'Quinn you guys got a ton of bigs.

Harrington is in the process of being bought out. BBD is a strong candidate to be traded during the season.

KOQ was surely less than impressive in the summer league and he would benefit coming off the bench and Osby certainly needs time to develope, the biggest question is what is to happen to BB. coming off of foot surgery puts a question mark on his immediate contribution to teams, so i really dont know if Henny has a trade in place for him already.

I loved Maxiell's tough D on Dwight and honestly he gave Dwight a run for his money during the playoffs. Im not crazy about this signing but i do clearly see alot of benefits. He is a great presence to show how to play tough to our young front court players.

i feel so good knowing we have a GM that doesnt make me get a heart attack every time we have a trade or a signing.

bye bye BBD! Maxiell is brought in for defense. I still want Oladipo to start at PG to see if he's the future there.

It will all become clear with time...just another step in the process. Agree we have a glut of people at this position and suspect additional moves forthcoming.

Always liked Max - great defensive effort guy, which is something we really need.

Is KOQ's contract guaranteed for this coming year? I too thought his defense was lacking in SL, should light a fire under him for camp.

We are bringing in some cheap vets who play hard for the inevitable trades of our own vets in Afflalo and BB especially, maybe Nelson but honestly I think he would be a good mentor for Dipo, having been in Orl for so long.

I love the signing. We have plenty of young boys, no need to bring in anymore to be backups. Instead, Henny gets a vet who AN, Vuc, Osby, KOQ and even Tobias can learn some things from. His intensity and toughness will be contagious too.
