What ever happened to Jarred Rudolph?

He quit RealGM and followed Dwight to Houston. No green font. Dead serious.

He's not kidding. Just saw the ass-kiss himself in the same room Dwight was signing his Rockets contract in on NBA TV. It was a season preview of the Rockets smh

Shameless.

Pretty good read about what Orlando should do regarding its lineups and PF situation. I agree with him for the most part, he has some sound logic to me. Harris off the bench playing starter minutes, sliding into either forward position alongside Oladipo and starting Nicholson or Maxiell based on the matchup.

Good observation.

But it cant possibly be that Tobias cant play with other capable scorers? They didnt freeze him out, you mentioned that in the offseason and I have yet to remember a time when they "froze him out" in huddles or on the court. Thats nonsense.

I don't know if Afflalo deliberately "froze him out," but he went long stretches during many games where he did not pass the ball to Harris... it was pretty frustrating to watch, especially when Tobias was playing well.

Of course..Afflalo, can be a black hole on offense everyone knows that. But I agree I highly doubt that Afflalo and Jameer, who are well regarded as good teammates would purposely freeze out Harris.

First, I realize that the article starts with the assumption that Harkless is the starting SF, but even with that assumption, sacrificing the best starting lineup (which IMO is one with Harris in it at either SF or PF) for the benefit of bench productivity and "easier" bench rotation doesn't make sense. The goal is to put your best lineup on the floor to start the game so that you ideally take a lead from the beginning of the game and then use the bench to maintain the lead.

Second, I just have a hard time buying that Harkless is more likely to start than Harris. I don't see enough from summer league or the preseason to justify that conclusion. I do realize that Harkless has started during the preseason, so I understand why the author might draw this conclusion but my opinion of Vaughn would take a dive if he started Harkless over Harris.

I am willing to wager that if you took the best player(s) on ANY team and made them a 6th man that they would be a pretty good reserve. Backwards logic at its best.

Tobias right now would be our best Starter, Best SF AND Best PF so of course he would be your Best 6th man too. Although Dipo is arguable for that one if he ever gets his shooting efficiency and turnovers straightened out.

Yeah, I agree with pretty much all of this. I would also add that I don't get JV's insistence on secrecy. What's to be gained by keeping our players in the dark?

What ever starting line up the Magic use in the 1st week, probably won't be what ends up being our starting line up come Jan 1. Things will sort themselves out.

JV has played most games this pre-season with "units" that won't be the subbing case during the year.

I'd prefer seeing Harris and Oladipo playing together. If that's off the bench or in the starting line up, it doesn't really matter. I want their chemistry through the roof.

What's everyone's thoughts on Kenneth Faried? Rumor is the Nuggets are gauging his trade value. I'm a fan of his and wouldn't mind seeing him on the Magic, but I've always been a bit weary of his on-ball defense as a small PF. At the same time, I enjoy the energy, athleticism, and relentless motor he brings to the court. Thoughts?

Anyone see Kyler's tweet that Moe wouldn't accept 6th man or bench role he wants to start?

Saw it. It was weird how he worded it "Mo won't go for that". Don't know why he says it.

I think Harkless deserves a starting spot. I also like faried, but he would be a bad fit with Vuc. We need an ibaka type at pf.

I'd happily give them Afflalo back for him. I'm not sure if they would want more or not, really wouldn't want to give up any of the young guys. I might throw Nicholson in there with Afflalo, but I'm not sure.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA 5m
RT @CleonONE: @PaulCaruso21 What makes you say that? ---> Mo wants to be great and those kinds of players don't accept 6th man

This was his response.
