Re: Is Hezonja must?
Mario is our closer of the future and Gordon is our shut down defender in crunch time of the future. The sooner Skies figures this out the sooner we start closing out games stronger. I see what Henny envisioned.

That is not nice what you just said. Why would you call him trash?
And yes, zelenooq, please, cool down a bit. It annoys people. We all love Mario, at least 95% people posting here, but you are pushing it too hard. Take this as an advice, mate.

Re: Is Hezonja must?
Another croat here. I follow forum regularely as I follow Mario's games since draft and back in Europe all since his Zagreb teen days. Guess zelenooq is quite biased but thats understandable. I am glad to see so much positives all around forum about Mario, fans really love him and sometimes I'm impressed how patient most of you are despite some bad things he does. I was very critical about him even before he was drafted, he is super talented and athletic but wasn't disciplined. I can see improvements, but I expect alot more. Shooting is ok, penetration improving, hopefully will become better, defence so-so, handling the ball, securing the ball not good. All in all its ok rookie season, if more minutes and more Skiles trust, could have been even better, but he must work more to earn his status. With minutes and as a hardworker I know he is he will improve.

Did you read what I have wrote?
What is annoying you there?!?
Two things:
He should get bigger minutes, like AG has in orlando's sake
He should be buzzer, he is like ice and what I didn't mention if there are vuc,vic and fournier, 3 best opposite defender would keep those guys and not rookie so he would have easier shoot and best chance
That's all I said, what is annoying you here?
Header?
If there could exist header like bust for few months played from rookie...

That's what I have start here,thank you

So what do you think about buzzer on hezonja?
Best opposite defender would keep vooch, vic and fournier so easier shoot would have hezonja as rookie
And for me he is good at it

Everyone's so easily offended. Who cares if this guy is a huge Mario fan!? We needed another thread to talk about MH23 that didn't have "bust" in the title and I can certainly appreciate someone who's native language isn't English using a little play on words with this new thread.
I'm so pumped he's getting minutes and already delivering big shots and moments for the magic!!

I think Mario will get major confidence in his game after he gets rid of his little boy side comb.

You guys say things like this as if you think you are actually seeing something Skiles doesn't.
Skiles knows (as would any coach) what we MIGHT have in Mario and Gordon. How could anyone not see the potential there? Claiming someone as seasoned to the game of basketball doesn't is just idiotic.
What you guys don't like is his route for developing young talent. Throwing young players into the fire has worked for some guys and not worked for others. Making them earn and value their minutes has worked for some guys and not worked for others. Which route is better for AG or Mario? I don't know but the Magic knew which route Skiles was going to take when they hired him and you should have as well.

I'm fine with the way Hezonja is coming along. My issue was with AG not getting time. Lately they've both been getting time, so life has been more tolerable. You can't blame the criticism for the way Skiles has developed players. It's not a glowing resume. ...and the ones that he does get credit for... they all got early playing time as rookies.

Saying you disagree with his approach is fine. I disagree with you because I think deep down you disagree with yourself and the frustration is more to the fact that you guys lack patience and want to see the new toy right here right now. Regardless, disagreeing with philosophy is fine. Where I roll my eyes is when people interpret sitting young players as him somehow not seeing the talent they have, which is what was implied in the above post. That is idiotic.
