Eh I feel bad for him but I think he can get paid in Europe. On a bad team you have to at least develop a niche. How his jumper alone didn't translate is beyond me. Hell maybe he'll get a chance with another NBA team? Wish him the best.

Um what? Quality of life my ass. Fran didn't have the nut sack to play in the NBA. Once I learned his girlfriend told him he couldn't come play with his friends I knew he was in trouble. "Quality of life" got to be kidding me. Fran is easily the biggest draft bust in Magic history.

I don’t think you can blame the pick too much. I remember Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress hyping Mario in the weeks leading up to that draft saying he thought he was the most intriguing prospect after Porzingis and how he’d potentially look at him over Okafor (no one else was saying this at the time).

Hopefully we can use him in a trade this season and at least get something back because (it goes without saying) it’s not ideal that a rebuilding team has basically wasted a top 5 pick.

yeah only in hindsight can you trash management for taking him really, he went in the range most teams would have taken him in and was highly thought of, just a shame he didn't pan out

He's still tradeable at the end of the day. If he shows out, great. We package him up with other players at the deadline and ship him out.

I hate our past FO's mistakes, but I LOVE how our new front office is cleaning house and doesn't give a rats ass. If you're not contributing boy bye lol.

I FULLY expect the same to be done to Biyombo. I would genuinely stretch him if we couldn't find a trade partner willing to absorb his salary for OKC's FRP and high SRP.

Nah he was horrible year last year. No one would have touched him. Attempting to let him bounce back was really the only option.. and it’s looking like it didn’t work.

He just doesn't have it to play in the NBA. Some people just didn't listen when some of us where saying he would be out of the league in a couple of years. He is Rudy Fernandez all over again just even worse then Rudy. The guy just can't do the one thing he was suppose to be good at making shoots consistently. I really thought he had a chance to be a solid player his rookie season but he just laid massive stinkers the last season and starting this season, im done with him and it looks like the team/management is ready to move on as well.

Because he sucks. He can go change teams he will still suck. He simply does not have an NBA skillset or mentality. How did he manage to get picked so high? Rob got scammed lol.

There was a few days after he did a sweet dunk in summer league a few years ago where people thought he would become a legit allstar wing... has all been downhill from there.

To be honest, i personally wouldnt have given up on him quite yet. I think we underestimate how young Mario is in his head. People mature at different rates and Mario is a young guy in the head, regardless of his actual age. He has good work ethic, and has clear talent, and i still think he can get it all sorted out if he can mature a bit.

I mean, hes still 22 years old.

Yeah he sucks but to be fair everyone got scammed, we didn't reach for him he was taken right around where he was predicted to go. No one expected his shot to be this bad, everyone thought at worst he'd be a good spot up shooter with length and size.
